OK! I will add a heat sheild, I have also dropped the bag lower so heat can get out the top easier.

Pretty much what Offrd said. If you've got a topomap & a GPS plus plenty of time you'll find your way through alright, but be aware that the roads don't quite match the map in places & pretty much all the signposts have been shot off / run over.

The route to Minginui as above is public access, all other forestry roads in there you are supposed to get a permit for.

MY COOK/CLEANER/BOTTLEWASHER/BEDMAKER NEEDS TO KNOW AS SHE IS AWAY THIS WEEK UNTILL FRIDAY NITE.

I have definates from Marks & Bass so far, any others ?

We will both have sleeping bags, and should be in Reporoa about 5-6pm.

Yep! Rosie & I will stay Friday if there are 2 beds or a double left. We've got sleeping bags. We'll see ya 6ish with some stuff for the BBQ & liquid refreshments.

Don't forget that anybody who wants to do some extra hooning & exploring on the Saturday should check out a good map of the area inland of Wairoa & Mohaka. There's lots of interesting looking roads in there that might make for a good 'long cut' between hwy 38 & hwy 2. You will have to consider fuel range & get someone else to grab dinner stuff for you if you miss out Wairoa though.

I'll be taking the main roads in cruisy mode with the girls.

I was planning on sneaking Kanny down Old Taupo rd, into Tokoroa.
Short squirt on hwy1 to Atiamuri. Turn onto hwy30, over a couple of gravel roads to Waikite Valley Rd, onto hwy5-settlers rd, and into Reporoa.
The Volty will struggle with fast rds, and the drivers want to mount the back of the Volty all the time.
PM me if you want to head this way. Will leave Hamtown bout 12.30ish.

Im in Tokoroa so its only about an hour to ride start for me so i will just wobble over in the morning.
