Hadn't considered a Buell as being an option.
How do you guys (and girls) who have them find them for fuel range, and comfort after a couple of hours riding? Two up?

IMO i think it'll be a hit with those who ride it. The styling isnt 100% me, the space between the front wheel and the top fairing just seems too 'open' to me, a full fairing may change that, but then the front would probably look a bit like the 1098 - but that aint a bad thing!

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
is that a 8 pot front caliper?
Early tests indicate Ducati and Aprilia have nothing to worry about. The thing is not genuine sportsbike quick, still plenty for the average road rider but those used to mind warping grunt will be left wanting more.
As for all those clever gimmicks that Mr Buell keeps introducing, how come every serious Buell race bike has a transplanted front end to get some decent brakes? And conversion to chain drive? The eight pot caliper may be an improvement but I'm not convinced.
The Ducati 999 took some getting used to but it's an absolute stunner compared to this thing. If ever there was a bike that looked like the individual aspects were designed by different individuals then this is it.
Normally when I park my bike somewhere my eyes are drawn to it because I like the way it looks, if I owned this thing my eyes would be drawn to it in the hope that someone had pinched it in the time since I last looked.
I love the look of the old tuff as fukk XB12R and this engine in a bike with that styling would be an absolute winner.

I think the 2008 Buell 1125R is cool.I hear they hit NZ in about 1 week.

Love to build a sport bike with a 12a bridgeport in it.
The new 1125R is selling at amps for $19,495 + orc.
I recon that it's a good price.
I maybe a bitbut I think it's by far the best looking Buell that Harly-Davidson have brought out

Now they have got rid of the old slug H/D motor things can only get better![]()
to old to die young
Interesting how little people know: Buells are created, made and sold by Buell not Harley Davidson, sure HD now owns the company but this is only a recent event and has in the past supplied the engines but that is pretty much as far as it goes. I dont see Bimotos being claimed by Ducati do you?
And as for a slug of an engine, you are definately showing your ignorance there kiddo Though I guess seeing as it doesn't have '..XSR' in its name it probably doesn't count anyway.![]()
