Why no interest in my bike?

Just want to gauge the viewpoint of others here, as to what the value should be on my bike, to sell it ?
It is on here, and tardme at $12500 ono, but have had no interest so far, although 200+ people have looked at it on tardme ....

take a look and give honest evaluations about where it should sit price wise to sell.

    Helpful comments appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Grant.

There's some serious hardware on that bike, if I were you I'd be listing the value of all the other goodies as well, not just the seat.

$12500 is only a good price because of all the extras but if the potential buyers are un-educated on their value then it won't mean anything to them.

.... back in green and feeling great ....

Yes the price of the extras on the bike amount to around $3000 probably. I havent totaled it up exactly.

I always thought the CB1300s' were a lot of bike for the $$, and yours looks like a nice one. The big nakeds do seem a little hard to move [I watch TM a lot-no life!], but yours does seem realistic. Hang in there!

Seems well priced as others have said with the extras, also need to add on road costs for new bikes $400? on top of price for new, same situation with guys selling say a VTR or SV when the manufacturers have a runout special,it stuffs up your own bike price, people see new one for say $1500 more so go that way.Was checking an SV1000 2005 $9500 and 20000km or so,then see for $12500 can get new one(plus orc),2005 has yoshi pipes so thats about $1500 or so.The cost of new is so close to latemodels like yours if the buyer can't see cost in extras they will go new, then again a true rider will know the cost of your "bling" and it's run in,it will sell, maybe change end date and see what happens, good luck.Nice bike too.

Thanks for the comment and encouragement. It is a good bike! I set it up how I wanted it, so it has got good gear on it. As I am going to a smaller/lighter bike, ... and slower! I won't need the Laser blocking setup, and will use a BlueAnt intercom if I decide to use one.
    Cheers.

Good points. yes thats the trouble with having a virtually new bike for sale. it still has the warranty, has had the run in and 1st service, ... the nice extras, but some people don't know the value of what you have added ... are they bikers ???!! lol
    Cheers.

You have a problem in that you made a choice and bought the bike about 2 minutes ago including travelling time and now you want to sell it. The bad news is you will suffer that first big dollopp of depreciation as everyone will want a bargain a few thou below new price.

There are two choices really - suffer a big hit and take the loss and sell it for what you can get for it or change your mind and keep it longer until the depreciation is kind of levelling off. Why is it no longer suitable for your needs now? You say you want a smaller bike - does it matter what size the bike is if it will hurt the wallet to sell this one?
    Cheers

Well Merv .... it's like this. I bought this bike intending to ride it for many years, and travel around this fair country of ours.
Unfortunately .... I have recently aggravated an old injury to my neck and right shoulder ..... an injury that meant I had to have a disc removed from my spine, and a wedge of my hip bone put in to support my neck, and help the other two damaged discs I still have in my neck. My shoulder was broken and rotator cuff badly torn. I was off work for a long time. This all happened a long time ago, and I haven't had any trouble .... until recently when I upset the situation.
Now ... I find managing this bike with it's size and weight ( which ordinarily wasn't any problem), a real difficulty. it's ok when I'm mobile and travelling, but not at slow speed dawdling and stopped .... especially with a pillion.

So Merv ... I need a smaller/lighter bike ... so I can continue to do what I love, and very much enjoy doing again.
Thanks very much for your input, and offering me two choices.

LOL .. well I am married, and my wife actually enjoys the bike and "understands" why I "need" things for it !! so she is up to speed on the costs !!

Yes it is a bit of a bummer injury wise, and needing to go down to a smaller and lighter bike .... but it's about the only way I can keep enjoying riding. I will loose money, and it comes with the territory I find myself in having to sell. But ... I don't need the money, like forced to sell ... so I won't be giving it away. It's a great bike, as new, and just barely run in, with warranty still on it.
    Thanks for your input.
    Cheers.
