I've about done my dash in cruisy rides, I'll be off over the hill top I expect. Will still leave BK at 630ish though (ish cause it'll either be just before or just after the cruisy riders go to avoid confusion). Bring on The Regular Wednesday Night Race!

Have fun. Wellington has the real Thursday Night ride, which was for people that wanted to ride faster.... maybe chch needs that too

We are heading to Kaikoura or Akaroa this weekend if anyone wants to come. Send me a PM. Destination not confirmed as it'll will depend on how much time people have on the day. Thinking it'll probably on Saturday though.

Not at all we know you wont leave us!

Tris and I were talking about it the other day. We were talking about how in Wellington the more experienced guys/girls that showed up to the wed ride knew that they were going to be with learner riders and knew the ride would be cruisier. Those that were interested in speed went to the thurs ride, and of course many would go to both.

Now that the cruisy ride seams well established definately worth looking at a ride to cater for those speedy people out there.

I have yet to ride along any part of summit road though, any possiblilites in that?

We've done the Dyers Pass / Evans Pass bit 2 or 3 times. Quite entertaining. There are some places you definately don't want to run wide though. Nice views if you travel slowly enough to take note. I've got no idea what it's like either side of the passes though.

Casualty and I will be along now I have a bike again(bikeless for a week-not happy)

We went for a short spin up Dyers along Summit rd thru to Sumner last evening
Few patches of gravel at the Sumner end but an awesome night for a wee ride.I am sooo enjoying having my son to ride with

Maybe we could go along Summit rd to Gebbies then over to Duvauchelles??Just a thought......

the dyers-gebbies part of the summit road is a bitch. I went up there on the weekend and there's heaps of dodgy surfaces and grit on corners etc. Can't say I really enjoyed it
