The Police Highway Patrol patrols the Hill and its lower reaches to Pauatahanui. Repeatedly and often. Go and park up anywhere along there and see for yourself.

Yep and seeing this is my local I go there often and with the proximity to the Police College there are often trainees out on the road too.

Excellent. So it looks like only SkidMark and me have done stupid stuff when we were teenagers.

I'm not concerned. I don't do it now.

    Sorry I'm not perfect.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Mate you're still alive, so maybe you've made sure its the difference between taking uncontrolled risks and calculated risk taking.

it is not about being perfect.

Have you ever looked at a fire and thought "fuck that looks hot" and then put your toungue in it to find out?

That is about skiddys mentality. Like I said. Its not about being perfect.

Wrong side on a blind corner is a big no. Reward does not even come close to the risk.

Quite the contrary my dear Watson. So of us don't publicise it on a public forum, or spend most of our free time else where (not talking shit behind a comp screen - referring to wheelie's being big, boozers etc)

They probably have done something unsafe or stupid - just never realised it, or too weak to admit it.

Believe it or not - there are those that ride poorer than Mr. Auckland, he may change with time, age, growing up etc, these others may not - sad isn't it?

FFS I never said I was perfect. I don't overtake on blind corners. Is that OK with you Mr Patch?

Agreed and Damm youre quick.....Beat me to posting.

When did this become a personal attack on someone doing "stupid shit".

People were simply pointing out that they "Don't overtake on blind corners"

And so far this thread has generated some really good points.

Please lets not get to the point of comparing anything in this thread to "SkidMark".

Any comparison will either come up short, or end up in a 6' box...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Everyone Settle here....

A brother has died. We don't know the facts and people we possibly know are grieving!

So sort your shit out in another forum.

    RIP Darrell.

It was a guy on a 1300 Suzuki (a Busa?) I think, overtaking two cars before a corner and phuckt it up - head on into a car full of tourists -(who were on the RIGHT ((correct)) side of the road for a change)

Yes, we've lost another brother - but ride like a twat - you hit things !!!!!!!!!!

Love pikok road, hate the way some people drive it.

Been up their many times and seen cars coming round corners in my lane!!! Was following a 4x4 along there the other day (waiting for my mate on a 150 suzuki) and virtually every corner this guy took he went over the center line.

First day i picked up my new bike i felt like a detour along pikok hill road and some muppet in a celica had lost it in a corner (just after the lookout heading down to pikok) and flipped his car about 30secs b4 i got there. Every1 was ok, but the guy was lucky he didnt hit ne1 or go over the edge, and all cus he was trying to drive fast threw a corner, prick.

Also i was sitting at the pikok cafe on a saturday not to long back and seen 3 highway patrol cars head up there, safe to say i took the motorway home.

Its an absolutly grate road, but some people (cars and bikes) just go a lil 2 quick on it. Personally i prefer the tukas, just for the people not crossing the center line (or at least i havnt seen as many anyways) and the slightly more open corners, although iv encounterd afew pricks in cages on that road 2.....god we need a nuremburg track here in NZ.
