How do you face racism every day? I mean in what ways do you encounter racism in everyday life?

    Ask yourself...

Is this real?A good marae, when you have lost a loved one is the most comforting thing in the world.Media portrays one thing but reality is another. One of my best mates, said to me ,when we were burying his father in law.I want to be buried here, fuck England.

You think? Not a wind up at all but any chance you could explain why you feel that.I couldnt give a rats about Waitangi day and all thats gone on as i much prefer to worry about whats going on in my life at present rather than dwell on the past, since time began there have been many people wronged if you choose to look at it like that but i dont believe one bit of good has ever been done by dwelling on it.As i say not a wind up just interested in why you feel that way about it.

I must have gone on a bad day - I thought I was going to get buried there! I guess its like everything - good and bad eh?

Maybe we should call it wine-tangi instead and have a party?

Being the only brown face in a corporate world, being the biggest in the room,so you must be security, having people ask you "if you know what that word means?" organising meetings over the phone and having them go straight to a trainee, having people quote me bits of law, asking if there is an alternate person they could talk to.I kid you not, every single, fucking, day.

this is no fun anymore, everyone's being far too reasonable, can't we get back to playing Maori radicals and White supremacists again?

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

You're also about as racist as it gets, but I guess I'm not "entitled" to say that. My ancestors put up with a 2000 years of oppression and genocide and there's fuck all of us left. A lot of us ended up here, but we're being made unwelcome once again. Big chunks of my racial history are dead and gone. My language effectively died out during the 19th centrury diaspora of my people, but you don't care about welcoming me as a fellow sufferer at the hands of the same people who stiffed you, you just think all white people are "English".
    So it's copacetic then?
