Yea, tell me about it, scootahs are the shits for lane splitting in rush hour traffic.

    Nimble yet still frkking fast!

If I had my way I'd be ridding a scooter for your usual errands around the city, stuff motorcycles...

Yeah they are fast off the line but run out of puff just as quick

    Like my bike, really.

Actually, stick a 12-20hp 125-200cc thumper in a scooter, keep the weight low, rubber-band transmission keeping the revs in the sweet zone (and aimed at 50kph), you'd have a means of conveyance that could surprise all manner of machinery. Put my or your bike next to such a thing, and we've got to shift gears, stop the engine from falling out of the sweet zone, and our bikes are geared for 0->100kph, not 0->50kph.

Looked like fun, but I know from experience the lack of a tank between one's knees gives me the shits when going around corners or over bumps.

Did he have one of these bumper stickers?

If not I think we should call the central and report a renegade.

Scooters rock. I'm gonna buy one and get a NOS kit so I can do wheelies and scrape the foot boards.

I've seen some class sh1t from scooters lately as well,

    - driving SI in torrential rain near Geraldine on the open road, thick as scooter with no lights on and all back packed up for the holiday is centre lane, only just saw them in time.

    - Again driving SI open road near ranfurly, come around corner to find a scooter centre left with a muppet riding pillion to boot, could have got two birds with one stone.

    - yesterday saw a scooter decide it was more legal to walk/run his two wheels through a red light. probably is for all I know, made me laugh.

Well, I have just seen a guy go past my office (Queen St, Auckland) on a scooter wearing jandals, shorts, t-shirt, no gloves and NO HELMET.

Must deserve a prize of some sought.
