Shoult that be you sound like the new bikern1pmho? Cos if so you are so way off the bloody mark..

I didn't want a bloke of that age or with that hair

In fact didn't want a bloke at all but ended up with the best one ever. Love my OWNER, and yes I would roast his balls for binning his bike on an anniversary as well. But would be more concerned about his health and the health of his bike to be pissed for too long.

Haha, I can see the signs already, having been similarly afflicted with Ducati Lustamortum, a not so rare motor borne disease that insidiously overwhelms a persons cognitive thought processes.

You see in his own special way he was reminding you that when you own a Ducati the first (and every) subsequent anniversary is signified with lashings of carbon fibre, not paper....

Now, there are two forms of "treatment". I won't go into any detail but suffice to say that buying said carbon fibre is a much cheaper option than formal therapy.

Seriously though, I've never been able to grasp that idea. Sounds like another awesome idea from the USA - bit like war on terrorism, obesity and hypocrisy.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Thanks No.1. Bubby is doing really well Let's just hope he doesn't develop his father's propensity for wrecking motor vehicles (there's a long history of that )

We managed to salvage the day and it ended up being quite a nice anniversary for both of us. Jim will be pleased to know we're not divorcing over it. (Who wants half a broken Duc anyway? )

As for the damage to the bike and how it happened, Mike will tell the story so much better. I'm tempted to go outside and take some sneaky pix, but I'll leave that to him too.

I think I was also upset about the bin because I really like that bike too and one day I hope to be able to ride it. I've always loved Ducs

Aaaah, so that's where I went wrong? I'm happy to give carbon fibre gifts in future, provided I get carbon fibre's big brother, Mr. Diamond, in return
