Welcome! Mmmm, it might seem like that, but don't be afraid to post. Generally most of it comes fairly easily, and you get a mixture of people making you feel like a complete idiot and some who are really nice and helpful. Ignore the posts from people who make you feel dumb, and learn from the ones where people take you seriously!

I rode past a 'club ride' (I can only assume), of BMW riders, and not bloody one of them nodded/waved back. I vote BMW the snobiest rider of the lot
Didn't you notice that they had their mirrors angled up to check themselves out?
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

BMW riders don't wave. They waggle an eyebrow instead. But only if you have at least 16 quarterings or are in the Almanche de Gotha. It was nothing personal, they just didn't notice you. Do you wave to the worms that crawl beside the road as you ride past ?

Much will be forgiven the rider of a GN250. They have a good attitude.

Maybe they could have been talking and that gesture could mean "me too" used when asked if you need to stop for a leak/food or gas. ??? but then only one of them would be doing the gesture. hmmm... just a thought.

Most certainly. I have always observed that those who start out on GN250s and stick with them make the best long term riders.

When the rain is bucketing down, and the winds howling, and I'm riding to werk, the motorway will be deserted of other bikes. Except the ginnies, they'll still be there puttering into the teeth of the gale. They're always out there, no weekend warriors they.

yeh (this should be in another thread but what are you gonna do) theres the americarna (yep, thats how its spelt) festival on here this weekend coming and theres a gazillion harley riders buzzing around town (dropping chrome parts, spraying oil everywhere) and they never bloody wave. i figure if they take a hand off the bars the vibrations and shit-poor geometry will make the bike drop out from under them. laws of physics are against them.

my brother rides a bmw k75 and a k100 (he also owns a mean, angry triumph chopper with 5 foot forks) and he waves to people. then again..the first bike he owned, and has for 3 years, and did the cold kiwi on almost every year, was a ginnie.

    oh yeh.
original quote from 98tls - Who gives a shite about Kw when you can all arrive in Fox at the same time sit and have a coffee and thank fuck for motorcycles..whatever the wording on the gas tank.
