Yep I have posted more in one night than I usually will in a week. Hence I am off to bed.

Goes away and say "Fuck the Doctor, what does he know"

    Goes to a lifestyle guru

Okay, that is all for now but is it okay if I call you in 2 weeks and see how things are?

I am with you on this one 100 % mate but what exactly do you think will make him learn and be accountable and responsible is the million dollar question sourrounding Mark.

Not things on a golden platter, perhaps it's time he learns the hard way? Maybe that's why the parents aren't backing him this time?

    Your thoughts?
All the time we think it is a million dollar answer... we will not be able to help him...

Maybe, his parents have not been supportive enough in the past...

Understood, however it hasn't worked to date G.
Hey don't get me wrong I truly do hope that SM has a brain fart and his mind set changes enough for him to be able to help himself...quick.

The longer he fucks his life up the longer he stays off the road.

I know too many people in this world who's parents weren't that supportive
when they grew up, they've grown up to be very successfull in life.

Whilst I do believe that it does play a role in life, it's still not the ultimate reason.

How do you get skidMark to get himself motivated, driven and determined? Might actually be a case for DR Phil.

None of us have been able to suss the kid out, what do we know.

Maybe we try too hard to work him out...kinda hard to explain...

Well just quickly, cause I need to drag my redundant arse off to bed...

I agree, this is not about giving anything away on a platter and solving Marks problems for him. This is about teaching Mark the skills he needs to get himself out of this predicament and to keep himself out.

At the end of the day, he needs to back himself. I am guessing that due to the last load of (mostly self induced) shitty things that have become on him, he must have a pretty low self esteem.

I think Mark needs to be made to realise that the people giving of their time to help him expect him to match it with his own efforts, and that he needs to be shown just what he can achieve if he masters himself. He is a clever guy, and I genuinely believe that he could be very successful, but he needs to have this attitude lit in him. To be honest, I am too tired to give you a coherent and logical answer. Need to think about it and get back to you.

Talk about a professional victim. Mark, sort your shit out boy and stop getting your mates to do your dirty work. A person your age should be able to hold down a job and have a roof over their head. Stop blaming arseburgers and learn when to shut up. The world owes you nothing.

I've met you before and there's nothing wrong with you. You're just a smart arse. What you really need is a kick up the arse.

    Love Finn

At school I was a bit naughty and had to write a helluva lot of lines in detention. One particular part has stuck with me.

"the longer I live the more I realise that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it"

The other thing I live by is a simple little mantra I use when faced with hard choices:

Weigh up the options, make an informed decision, commit to it. Dont look back.
