    Hell yes!!!

The Aprilia Tuono is one of the best looking nakeds out there....and its, by all accounts, a fast and sharp handling bike. Go for it!!!!!!!!

If its not out of your price range....may I also suggest the MV Agusta Brutale 910R

Or, there is always the Ducati S2R 1000

The Moto Guzzi Breva 1200 sport looks pretty sweet too.

The Suzuki SV1000 is also a great road bike thats still good in the twisties.

and, of course, there is ALWAYS the SV650 as an option.

Basically, you have TONS of great options if your looking for a sporty naked bike. Just pic whichever tugs your heartstrings the most and is also in your budget

    Would you?
My next bike Felix...and I've done my research.

I've ridden the 05 (previous model), 06R, 07R and 07 Factory and 07RSV and was impressed. The 05 is a beast which suits mad guys the likes of Clivoris,..........but the 07 is refined, goes where you point it and is forgiving mid corner. It loves to twist and the leverage from the wide bars and balance of the bike helps tremendously. I've ridden an 07 RSV and, just me, but the Tuono kicks it in the twisties.

The 07R is a hardish but balanced ride on the road in stock form which surprised me given my weight. The front end is fantastic...so given that, Id have a think about the Ohlins (sorry Brian...) I'd say youd need to pimp the front internals if you blinged the back to balance the ride out. The Factory (which is Ohlin-ed out) is a different ride altogether. Too hard for NZ roads in my opinion...and asthetically not as pleasing to the eye as the R. The mix of red, white and gold is a bit overkill.

What really surprised me was that it was a great two up bike. Your pillion will sit alot higher than on a 14 or Blackbird but the pegs are set at about the same height. Aprilia also have a great after market pillion seat which is curved toward the front which stops the pillion from sliding forward under braking. Shortish trips though...

On the down side, it drinks worse than my 14 when you thrash it - and if you're tallish or have thighs like tree trunks you're gonna suffer with the high pegs. And I didnt think much of the bike at night...but then I ride a bug eyed bike....

So - And I dont know what you're thinking - it aint a replacement for the Blackbird. If I had a wife who wasnt such a financial genius Id probably have the 14 for the long 2 up runs and the Tuono for the crew rides and track days in my garage.

    Two more things....
    - TSS in Wellington have their demo for sale and which has done 1000ks. Talk to Stuart
    - If you go to Mt Eden - make sure you get after market pipes and decent rubber thrown in the deal. 24K for a zero ks 07 is soooo last year.

    So true.

    Being planned..

    Interesting

    Oh dear

it drinks worse than my 14 when you thrash it

They were all right, when out for a ride last night. Nothing HID's won't fix. Good spread.

And I didnt think much of the bike at night.

Well I am trading the CBR954. So I will have the Bird and the Tuono and the CB900 for whatever. But I do wished I got a better deal at Mt.Eden. They say they are making Zero... but I am not so sure.

Without a shadow of a doubt!

Its the only bike (on the market) at the moment that I would buy if the misses had sorted her shit out and got her full licence

IMHO they are the best all round nekkid twin on the market. May not be the best(imo) however they do everything EXTREMELY well IMHO.
Interesting.....Even better than the KTM SD-R?
I kinda thought the standard SD would make a better road bike. Brother in OZ had an '07 Tuono and he loved it while he had it....which was'nt long, got pinged on an early morning thrash and waved bye bye to the license.
I rode a '07 KTM SD and all I can say it was a fun machine to ride, not as bling to look at as the Tuono but I love the look of them, got a menacing look to them.

Hey Zapf, what are you gonna do with the 954?

You wanna give it to me to look after or at least do a fun swap?

There's a point, what are you going to do with the 954?
Having owned one of these I can still recall being amazed at how light it was....and still is. Why not street fighter the 954 and have something that would kick a Tuono in the nuts and walk off laughing? A 954 only weighs 164kg's from memory, so minus fairings etc sub-160kg's and +130rwhp, with a decent set of bars would sure put a smile on your dial.

    Thumbs up

Bit late, but I'd say definately & agree with Clivoris,a mate I ride with has the standard 07 but has fitted an Ohlins rear shock & loves it, another mate has an 03 Racing. I've ridden them both & my mates Moto Morini Corsaro & they're all awesome bikes. I'm biased though after 43000k's on the KTM they just don't feel right but that's a personal thing . Ride it well & you'll wonder why you waited soooo long.

Its being traded. Why do you want to buy it for 10'500? 12'000k's
