Jim, so you pm a mod and get it sorted, that is what I meant.... not argue with the person who has upset you in the forums or via PM. (Thats is just stupid and a fruitless exercise)
Follow the right channels... but you know this as well.

I was talking about being the victim Mod being pmed to sort it out. The whole thing is pointless.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
I dont agree.... sorry.
They are there to sort thing out, so if you have a problem you should pm them.
They should be big enough to say "Yes I can help" or "No sorry I cant"
But like I said, do this when you feel strongly about something.... and Fatjim did, seeing he felt the need to start this thread.
Calm down, calm down.
Firstly, I started this in PD, the mods didn't move it. I did this because most of my stuff usually ends up there, and based on previous experience I thought I'd save the mods the hastle.
Secondly, there are several reasons I did not PM the mods
1. I do my bitching in public where I can. PM'ing mods just pisses people off.
2. But mainly though it was because some of those guilty I know personally, many I respect. I did not want anybody feeling they had been singled out and I felt this was the best way to deal with that.
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
i didnt think you can start threads in pd. :|
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
This thread was started in PD, not moved there. FatJim has pm'ed a mod and asked that it be moved out of PD so it will be.
Unfortunately, this is an issue that has been thrashed out a number of times in the past. Equally as unfortunate, when the self righteous, disrespectful clowns this thread is having a go at get in here it'll go straight back to PD.
Exactly. They believe their cause is much more important and their rants are justified. Being a disrespectful fuckwit that causes upset and distress among the family and friends of those involved is irrelevant because the keyboard warrior believes their rant will make people think. They don't realize that they're doing the equivalent of standing up at a time and place (such as at a funeral/memorial/rememberance/etc) where it is extremely inappropriate and going to be least effective.
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem

But the KB rule is that there is NEVER , EVER a suitable time of place. And ANY suggestion that reminds people that motorcycling can kill you, and that reckless riding will kill you quicker, will alwaays be moved pretty much immediately to PD. Or, if people are really starting to take notice, to total oblivion - 'A time to reflect'. And that the Heaven Born, as a matter of principle will make quite sure that no such suggestion ever is 'effective'
Personally I think the attitude of the Heaven Born is grossly irresponsible.

1) there has been a "changing of the guard" in the mod team. as a result I genuinely believe that there would be a different attitude to a THREAD discussing accidents.
2) As always its a question of time and place. I don't believe that in a thread clearly greiveing the death of a freind or to some just a fellow biker is the appropriate time/place to be discussing the rights or wrongs of it.

If people want to post things in a public forum where comment can be contributed by all and sundry, that is a risk they take. What may or may not be *appropriate* is a matter of time and place. While Moderators do their best to keep *RIP* threads on track, the path that these follow is largely in the hands of contributing members.
Death, unfortunately, brings out the best and the worst in Kiwi Biker's members. And, like many other threads, some members will not conform with what others believe are norms of behaviour for those involving major accidents.
If such events end up involving high-profile members, then inevitably three threads will result: an RIP/condolances thread; a situation update thread; and an analysis of the accident thread. Unfortunately many members have no idea what content should go into which, and some sort of dependence on Moderators results.

You can't, I can, if people actually have the balls to say to others that they're out of line, in public. I'd have no problem saying to anybody's face. This kind of behaviour is atrocious and unforgivable.
I don't see how an RIP thread should not be treated in the same respect or reverance that a memorial or funeral service is. When it all boils down it's just a case of immaturity, so its not HTFU if you object, but GTFU (grow the fuck uo) to those who can't behave like adults.

Hi Mod's
When I die - Can I have a RIP tread without the bullshit please.
I would just like to get my request in now, if thats ok?
