ya know this sounds really familiar--very much like the shit thrown at another bike well known for getting people up and riding 2 wheels--the mighty GNU

Has the word "cosmetic" stopped meaning appearance or looks?
As for "feel", only a noob would ride one without being seriously concerned about the total lack of control from the suspension. At "noob" pace it wouldn't normally matter I suppose. As for jumping on the brakes, I suspect you would hear the forks bottoming out from over a Km away.
My suspension has been fantastic, never had any problems with it. Never had any issues bottoming it out either. Maybe you need to put your biases aside, before writing off the most popular selling bike in the country.
They are popular for a reason, and the looks are only a part of that.

Is that so skidmark?
Your talking out your arse. No they aren't a race bike. However most of the people shit talking about them, are people bitter because they had to learn on some 20 year old piece of shit.
As for Dangerous Bastard, Harden the fuck up. If you take comments like that to heart, its a wonder that you hadn't topped yourself as a youth.
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

I rode a couple and I'm sorry but the forks and brakes as stock are terrible.
clearly they can be improved HEAPS relatively easily

Yeah, I struggle with the wording of the ad,
but I know a few people with them, and they seem happy with the bike, a good entry level/newbie bike, one family I know got two they have no complaints.
Its putting bums on seats/getting people into bikes and that can't be bad.
so I would not diss them, but a race bike I think not.

"Kiwi Biker, still a great place despite the mods "
"Would crawl over broken glass before owning Suzuki"
The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
my own fault really.
Bahahahahahhahahaha that ad is demented. (No offence DMNTD/Chris)
Race bike for the road? I am 100% sure that a hyobag *could*piss on an aprilia RS250...If the Aprilia rider was a noob and the hyobag rider experienced.
It always cracks me up how defencive hyobag riders get about their bikes, like they feel the need to prove themselves and their bikes. If I got all wound up everyone took the piss out of GSXR's and their riders, I would be in a straight jacket (no offence Str8 Jacket).
The hyobag-a-crap is fine as an entry level beginner bike, but no one in their right mind would use one in a 250cc class race. The brakes are horrible, would fade within no time, the suspension is utter crap, so would need to be custom built stuff, and they are lacking in power somewhat horribly.
For 7k, I would put my moolah elsewhere. THAT IS MY OPINION. DON'T LIKE IT, BUY A HYOBAG. I DON"T CARE ANYWAY.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

LMAO off at the last comment.
My 250 was a 1994 ZXR250c. Yes it was 10 years old. But I would still rather have (now 14 year old) bike with 50,000kms on it than a new hyosung. I have ridden a few, and they just are not that fantastic. Yes, they feel more like a *big* bike, but when it comes down to it, they don't have the up and go of the CBR or the ZXR and they sure as hell don;t have the handling that they do...or the level of finish to the components.
