Yeah the track is very `slippery' at the moment. I went over about a week ago and got my first big fright....getting too confident and not being prepared. My back tire decided on its own agenda but all was good....stayed clam and upright and went with the bike rather than fight it. Just wasn't expecting soooo much gravel.

Re the vid's Cowboy...they were cool to see what goes on in the front of the rides and to see how to ride a corner...since I never get to see being at the back most of the time. Is it normal then for you fast guys to go over the centre line all the time then?

Oh dear, another sad little post from the man who thinks sarcasm is wit.

Hmmmm. very dodgey! I dont condone riding over the centre line. Its cheating. You referring to the "Fake it" video. That was really bad! The Shannon video is a bit better but still catch myself crossing the centre line a couple of times. Very bad habit that needs to be knocked on the head.

The vid's really are great and are also helpful to the likes of me, to see how to take a corner at a reasonably fast pace. I have learnt heaps watching how you, Gary and Dogs in particular just lean with the bike like it is part of you. I recognise some of the roads and can't wait to get out and give them another go.

    See you out there soon.

Crossing the centreline can SOMETIMES be useful in maintaining your line, using the available space and getting around the corner. It totally depends on the conditions at that moment and should be a matter of choice for the rider. Shouldn't be done in general, really an 'as required' thing eg, overtaking, clear road ahead, tight corner etc, and should never become a habit, especially if there's the risk of a hazard ahead

I reckon all on-bike footage is pretty cool, Its all NZ bikes, people and places after all. Did you look at the name of the person who posted the negative comment on your vid?

Anyhow, I have helmet camera footage where I run myself over on an ATV........Muhahahahahaha.

Part of becomeing a good rider is being one with the bike.
As if it becomes an exstention of your self.
Feeling the grip, the road, the power all being transfered to your reflexes via your feel.
Its nice getting to the point where you become one with the bike and the road.
Puts a whole new meaning into riding
Knee down and quick corners, smooth braking all come so easy when you dont fight your self.
You relax more and are more aware of what is going on around you rather than always thiking of what the bike is doing
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.

Even in a car I pinch the opposing lane; heading in to a left hand corner I stay out wide looking for the apex, on a right hander I’ll drop over the centre line and cut the corner - as long as I can see with out a doubt nothing’s coming, and if something does come I’ve left myself enough room, and grip (very important), to get back onto my side of the road.

And yes - all the above was done on the back straight at Puke.

Got a fair way to go to earn the "fast" reputation but then it is not something we aspire to down here.
    Really . . . I think you've been lied too
Some mighty good misconceptions right there.
It ain't about fast but how good you look . . .
    As you were.
    It is what it is

Oasis? That would be the verve? Bitter sweet symphony? Love that song.
Cheers. Sometimes it is nice with 2 or 3 all riding at pace together. Had such a great time making the videos.

Oi! If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times.

Shit I must be like them coronation st watchers, about a year behind lol,the music I heard on one vid was Bat out of hell, bestest bike music eva.

As for xing the centre line,if you can see nothing coming and need to cross, as against, shit I've crossed the line best get back onto the correct side and crash scenario, take the cross the line rather than crash.

As I don't ride quick enough to see the front runners it is good to see the way the bike can be manouvered about safely.

Don't confuse The Verve with The Verve Pipe, never ever with farkin Oasis, holy shit Chris thought you'd learnt from ya off P/T.
