Yeah, what sort of moron would get stung near the harbour bridge? You'd have to be an idiot.

shit-fk!! bugger. possibly not the cleverist of moves - wrong time/place with the wrong audience etc, but u know that already.

fwiw, i got 28 days + hefty fine last year - quiet back rd, no one around...except the cop that lived along that road so i've certainly become a lot more wary about where i give the throttle a squirt...and it can make for a boring riding experience!

will be interesting to see which kb members pitch up on their soapboxes to bore us preaching about exercising judgement etc, (i.e probly the same members that only ride their pc's) but take comfort that few folks on this site who actually ride their road bikes could honestly put hand on heart and say they have never done the same thing or something not particularly clever on the bike at one time or another... it's just that perhaps their lack of judgement was exercised in possibly a slightly less visible or more appropriate location...with the old luck of the draw bizzo thrown in for good measure.

i'm guessing it's a court appearance? hope u get a nice judge... good luck.

Make a plea for average speed over a year (provided you're a legal rider), rather than the momentary brain explosion speed you were busted at!

If only there was such a thing...

Over double the speed limit? Why would you feel the need to do that on an incredibly busy public road? I could understand SH16, or something that is a 'back road' and a lot quieter, but the Birdge? That's lunacy.

Hopefully you get done for Dangerous Driving as well.

How times change. I can remember when the test of a powerful bike was to hit the ton (160kph) coming over the top of the bridge, from a 'legal' start at the bottom . That and getting to the ton by the overbridge from a standing start at the toll gates (about quarter of a mile) . Was almost standard practice

Did you get airbourne at the top?

Because it probably felt fucking awesome at the time?

PS i think it was late it night so probably not 'incredibly busy', but still doesn't make it any more sensible.

Ouch. As I said in another recent thread if it is just 'exceeding ....' type speeding on your offence notice then you will probably get 50 pts, 28 day walk and a big fine. Careless or dangerous charges are a whole different situation and you should get proper legal advice.

    Phark, I dunno...
All those HP dudes, sitting there, bored, waiting for someone like you to come along...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

believe me when I say I could have been done alot worse.
that was very northbound indeed uh oh ... 170 ... uh oh
well, I suggest you take the speed infatuation out on a track day , however there won;t be any large gerders, or ocean scenery or clipons... but tradeoff is NOOOOO coppers. you might be needing a wee trailer ride wif. no license tho...
