    Hey guys, have been crazy busy with work and am a bit out of the loop on the plans, i know the important stuff but wondering if sleeping bags are needed for the back packers or is bed linen available??. I have a first aid kit i am bringing and don't mind going TEC for one of the days. Is there anything else thats a must to bring for a weekend tour??? apart form the obvious socks and jocks that is/..

    Bring some cash, and some dry food, coz its a public holliday and may not be able to find food on some places. muesly bars are my pick. good that you ake first aid as aswell.

    Just talked to some fast food places in dargaville and it looks like most of them are closed on good friday so everyone make sure you have some dry food with you.

    Yummy , havent had pie in 7-8 months ( I quit you see) but the taught of a nice warm pie with some lemonade or "V" is appealing to me

    Just remember that anyone heading up to the Lighthouse -

    1. Dont rely on the fuel station @ Waitiki
    2. Bit of a walk from the current carpark to the Lighthouse - Roadworks in progress (10 year plan to seal the last 20kms)
    3. Dont leave anything on your bikes unattended - leave your tankbags/luggage at Waitiki. Some of the locals have sticky fingers....

    It was about time they did something about that road. surely 20km shoudlnt be that hard...but what do I know ...

    Good idea about the bags. Lucky I have a backpack that I can chuck on my back
