FknAmerican, do you have aftermarket exhaust?

should've pulled over and when she passed, followed her instead
here in NZ my mate had a similar thing. had a few of us over around 6pm looking at his 2 smoker that wasn't going. got it going and gave it a rev for 2 seconds then turned it off. first time we had been to his place.
sure enough a neighbour came out asking that we stop revving our bikes and that it's very "antisocial". apparently we were talking too loudly and should go from the driveway to around his house.
we did
then she comes over AGAIN, walks onto the property and has another go at us because we're talking too loud. apparently he "always" has his "motorcycle friends over" having "parties". note it's our 1st visit, we're just sitting around talking, completely sober. meanwhile the neighbour is pumping death metal out through his windows
she insisted on having the last word, treated us like children, and was completely unreasonable.
sure enough we all redline our bikes leaving at about 7pm. apparently some relatives came to pick her up later that night! WTF
then there's the neighbour who calls my house whenever i've got my dirtbike out. it's a rural area. he refuses to say who he is or where he is nor come to any arrangements like the other neighbours. won't even ask nicely. just threatens to call sound control. figured out who he was; he lives over 1km away so wouldn't be able to hear me over the sheep and farm equipment! he's also notorious for complaining. even complained when a neighbour harvested some trees because it ruined his view
....
britain, japan and NZ are the only countries (i know of) to still drive on the left
Now thats a good idea!
I'm lucky enough to live in a street thats got 6 bike riders within 200 meters!
That whole carrying guns thing gives me the shits in the states! While I was there in my 20's I was very careful not to get into a fight with anyone just in case they decided to shoot me!!![]()
Get rid of those NANA knickers, and FIGHTER it!

TBH I dont know where this type of cynicism comes from. I find that the vast majority of the general public are great towards motorbikes, and only a very tiny minority are wankers. In my (admittedly short) experience, most motorists are happy to pull aside to let us pass, give us plenty of room and treat us with respect.
I often get annoyed with the people who swerve dangerously out of our way. It's too dramatic, like we're about to kill their children in the back seat of her 4x4 and they're leaping to safety.
Better than those that dramatically swerve into your way since you shouldn't be allowed to have an advantage over their leather clad Mercedes.

I agree, some people are wankers. I went on the ride up to cape reinga and had afew people try to take me out, having said that there were alot of people who let us aside nicely, so thanks to them and middle finger solute to the rest.
I've lived in the same neighbourhood my whole life and there has always been the at least one bike on my street, but I still get afew bad looks riding past, I think maby some people mistake me for the r6 that comes past on the back wheel alot of the time.
It also doesnt help that bikes sound like their going fast because they rev high, my dad often says you sounded like you were in a hurry when you left/arrived today (with an impressed look on his face) even when I'm just cruzing.
You have grounds here for a charge of stalking
throw it back at them via the law itself, get the police involved first
but wait till two or three do it, and I don think they would continue if you prove them as being the law breakers
well !!!!
lol stalked by a 80yr old granny!
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.
Yeah, I think it's fair to say that some people are just completely unaware of their road presence in one way or another. I'm also a cyclist, and as such expect that motorists give me a decent amount of space when they wizz by. But some drivers seem to have no idea of the size of their car, and in an attempt to be "courteous", drive right over into the other lane, even in the presence of oncoming traffic. I really only need about 50cm of space, and giving me 2 meters is just stupid. I was in the passenger seat with a mate who is probably the worst drive I know - I swear he almost had a head on collision passing a cyclist. When I had him up about it, he honestly believe he was just giving the cyclist space, and thought he was doing the right thing![]()
Haha I remember that, it was hilarious.
As for myself, living in a area where I we have neighbours 360 degrees in a cul de sac sort of setup and I am quite aware how much sound travels.
I do enjoy taking the bike out during evenings and realise I probably get noticed by a fair few neighbours when it warms up and not to mention waking up the people in the my house as one bedroom is just adjacent to the garage.
Those are the times that I wished I had the option to 'mute' the bike with a push of a button, but being such a upstanding citizen like I am, I can't let this shit distract me from riding my bike.
No aftermarket exhaust for me. Hate everything on offer for the R-6 apart from the Racefit growler and thats $800 for the slip-on!!!! I just cant bring myself to drop that much $$$ on a slip on when for not much more I could have a full system, power commander, and tuning. A few weeks ago I was dead set on ordering it.......but just couldnt do it. Decided to spend the money on the most important performance upgrade you can do to your bike......improving the person riding it (me).
That means California Superbike School at Virginia International Raceway and that means I've already spent my alotted motorcycle fun money for the summer.
Cant complain though. Only hard part now is waiting for day 1.
Have you tried Arrow? or Akropovic?
Dead Serious. He missed Australia though. That's "You're" btw the way. I don't believe he owns a "not serious".Originally Posted by YamahaR64Life

The Americas, Europe, Asia Minor, Chunks of Africa, Most of Asia, Russia all drive on the right.
Left hand drive vehicles are "normal". It's our right hand drive vehicles that are weird. Up until 10 years ago, a lot of Italian made cars were un-drivable thanks to the right hand foot well not being designed for pedals. If you had feet bigger than Size 4, it was a mission using the clutch and the brake at the same time.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
I had an idea that either Sweden or Switzerland used either LHD cars on the left side of the road or RHD cars on the right side of the road. This was some years ago and I think has been changed since.
Speaking of which, I heard that the Irish are introducing driving on the right side of the road, but, because some Irish are a bit slow, they're doing it in stages...Trucks for the first 6 months, then trucks and buses, then cars. (p/t)
