I'm only sorry I hadn't read this thread earlier.

Mind you, with the massive amount of media coverage focused on this thread lately, it's lucky I even got onto the site at all, what with all the bandwidth being chewed up from INTERNATIONAL visitors!

    What a joke.

Uh oh, will that go international too?

Stop the rider but not fine the rider...serves no purpose...in my opinion. It's either a fine or no fine. Not that I have anything against cops and I respect what they do but they ought to fight bigger problems e.g. spousal abuse, drunk driving, robberies, etc

    inappropriate use of headlights.
saying you were warning of a hazard.....shove her bee back up her bonet.
There is no law to say you were warning about another cop up ahead. And a judge will see that.

So how do you think we get most drunk drivers...???? By not stopping drivers??? How about disqualified ones? They don't have neon signs advertising the fact....

The very few traffic cops deal to traffic and in these parts, go to anything they are needed for, including domestics, burglaries, robberies, whatever... The rest deal with the rest and on the very rare occasion, will be asked to deal to a crash... only if a snake isn't working...

Exactly. They don't have neon signs. They are breath tested. Drunk drivers don't flash lights stating the fact they are drunk???

I was referring to why stop drivers that flash their lights and then not fine them. Makes no sense. I would agree if it was not legal to alert others that a cop is around the corner and then stop them and then fine them.

Some do... some sit at green lights, some bunnyhop, some don't use lights... had one pull up opposite while dealing with another drunk to give himself in one night on the North Shore...

My most memorable was a driver coming towards me with his head out the driver's window throwing up.
