Glad you're OK, sorry about the bike. Now for the compulsory quiz:
    • Do you think there was anything you could have done to avoid the accident and/or reduce its severity? Once i saw he was pulling out i only had 1 sec or so to react to it.
    • Do you think he might have pulled out because you slowed down?
i was slowing dow to the legal speed limit as i was just coming off the motorway it drops for 100 to 50 around an open corner. he pulled out so he says because he didn't see me at all. he saw the car behind me but not me
    • If so, could you have slowed down but still made it clear you were expecting him to stay stopped? (Bazooka shot across the bows, perhaps?)
Bazooka shot across the bow would have helped! once he started to pull out i had so little time to react i think i did well just to slow the bike at all i couldn't go round him as there was an island in the way and oncoming traffic

I'm not trying to criticise, I just want opinions from the person in the best

It all good man i have been trying to think what i could have done differntly all morning but i think i did everything i could with my limited experance as i got off pretty lightly really, couple of scrapes sore back that sort od thing but no permant damage. except for the bike that is

It is a off ramp slowing from 100 to 50 i have no choice but to slow. there is no where to trun as i can't trun left into the road he was coming from it is a one way! right is the entrance to the motorway a no right hand turn. as for stopping i am coming off the motorway with a line of cars following me (That he saw) why on earth would i stop in the middel of the road?!?!?

Glad to hear your OK , sucks about the bike....

Idiot cage drivers, Last time I looked a stop sign meant STOP until the way is clear doesn't matter how slow the traffic is going

lets hope everything works out and your back riding soon
I try to take it one day at a time but sometimes several days attack at once

If he does get wheels he could use them to distribute work meat.

Glad to hear you're ok, Fizbin, also happy to hear that you valued the mentoring sessions.

I take it you were wearing good gear?

from what i understand the fairings are 2k on there own and they need replacing that is apart from any more damage that has been done. peg, handel bars maybe the forksthat sort of thing. the bike is only insured for 5k so yeah it wouldn't take much more to write it off
