Just wee update for those who want to know:
...been walking in a hydro-therapy pool 3 times now and my physios have been surprised with how well I've done so they got me on crutches today in the gym. Cool ... was in a wee hurry to upskill for the weekend so learned how to climb stairs as well. Four days in which to practice now so cool bananas

Another milestone (or 2):
...have moved back to the flat, returned to work (half ours for now), and should be given the 'nod' to walk without crutches tomorrow at the Fracture Clinic. I've kinda dispensed with the crutches already most of the time cause I'm impatient, and it doesn't hurt. My physio knows and didn't growl so I think I'm 'ok'.
Hold ups: I'm not allowed to drive until I get checked out for my reaction times and judgement as a result of the 'damage to my squash' (as Drew puts it). This is going to take a bloody MONTH!!! (dammit) so it will be state funded taxis until then. Fortunately my driving was awesome before my accident so maybe I'll just be 'average' now (p/t). Sooner this gets sorted the better as I want to make plenty of trips over the hill... and life and continue as usual.
As soon as I sort insurance for the bike gear, and manage to get on the bike physically, and cope with handling it in the driveway then I'll be into that as well. Yay!
