How to keep feet dry.

Much dubbined steel-caps (ex freezing works) and well dubbined leather gaiters (no, not as in crocs) works 100% for me.

I wear Warehouse waterproof leggings ( the ones made of sealed nylon, not the cow-cockie vinyl ones) over my leathers, these combined with the boot set-up above is the best combo yet for dry feet in my experience.

Sometimes the make of bike dictates where and how you get wet. My Beemer twin always channels the water onto the base and soles of the boots as has every Beemer I've owned. The Kwak gets the outsides of the legs wet and a bit above the knee. Once I worked that out (it took years) it got easy to get the gear I needed.

My Sidi Stradas have never let a drop of water through, even after several hours of riding in heavy rain, including splashing through deep puddles, etc.

Obviously one needs to put waterproof pants down over the outside of them so that rain doesn't run down into them, but apart from that, there doesn't seem to be any way of letting water in. The area around the toes is on my pair is a bit scraped and battered, but I've never had a single wet patch on my socks.

I'd say if you need to put plastic bags on your feet, you're not riding in the right boots and pants.

If I get 3 seasons out of a pair of boots it's a bonus.
Most are ground away at the contact point or damaged by adv riding etc etc.

The waterproofing is the first thing to fail. Even though there is life left in boot.

Had a look through the stack of old Kiwi rider mags and theres a pair of ATV ONE adventure bike boots that look the ducs nuts for keeping dry,no zips and no pesky velcro either,anyone tried them?

The labels are the only bit that IS waterproof, posers dont ride in the rain... so they're safe.
How many bikes have you seen advertised for sale...never ridden in the rain ???
