It's ok. We know she scares you.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Fear, the basis of every healthy heterosexual relationship.

How long had you been riding before you did your first long run?
I am curious as I am yet to do my first long run and am feeling quite nervous about it. I assume this is normal..but the man is all testoterone and wont admit to any nerves when he starting riding.

I have been riding since June last year but I was always looking for excuses not to get on my bike. However, I have been riding around the North Shore for the last month before my big ride. I set myself a goal to ride down the the Hawkes Bay to attend a party of two close friends and I was determined to achieve that goal. Plus my Auntys mother was diagnosed with a terminal heart disease and that also gave me the push to be able to say goodbye.

Setting a goal is a good way to get yourself started. May not work for everyone but definitely worked for me.

Good luck with your long ride, you will be so elated once you have completed it and it also gives you more confidence
