Only problem is that the Police were not called to scene so all they can do is record each party's version wheras if the Police attended the scene they would have got oral statements as well at the scene as well as signed statements later and they could make a more informed decision.

At end of day if Lady has made your life difficult by knocking you off...taking away your mode of transport to work and play then getting the Police involved would be a minor inconvenience.

Absolutely you must report it. And didn't you destroy that spanking new set of Spidi leathers??
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Learn the lesson, report it, make a whinge next time earlier and grab a handful of witness and whinge to them and afterwards grab their details so you can get them to whinge to your insurance or (god forbid) if it happens to go to court.

It's better for you in the long run to have a whole lot of back up than none.

But good on yah that you're O.K? Can we see some photos a bit later?

    I'm with most everyone else.

The reality is you can't really afford to trust her and it is best to be safe than sorry I guess?

I admire that, but the reality is, screw her. It's up to you to watch out for shit from your end. Report her. Should have been paying attention. Now there are going to be consequences.

I THINK this is incorrect. All injury accidents must be.

    IMO. YMMV.

i'd report it, a conviction against the other driver would help the insurance claim no end
    you don't have to tho....

    http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/roa...y/crashes.html
If you are involved in a crash while driving, and you are not badly injured, the first thing you must do is stop and check to see if anyone is hurt, and provide assistance.

If someone is hurt, you must tell a police officer as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after the crash.

If no one is hurt, you must give your name, address and vehicle registration (and, if asked, the name and address of the owner of the vehicle you are driving, if it isn't your vehicle) as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours after the crash to:

    * the owner or driver of any other vehicle that has been damaged
    * the owner of any property that has been damaged.

If you can't find these people, you must tell a police officer as soon as possible and no later than 60 hours after the crash.

If your vehicle is insured, tell your insurance company as soon as possible after the crash.
