Well, seeing as this is the GN250RoadSports, maybe a bar-end mirror is on the cards? See heaps with one of those. Maybe $20?

Pffft, what's $20? Besides, when I had my crash into a car, resulting in that huge dent in the tank, then sliding along the road for a little while, all that happened to the bar-end mirror was some road-rash on the stem. Despite hitting the car and sliding on the side of the bike where I have the mirror.

They rotate on a spring detent system, so just fold out of the way, really.

How's that gearshift? Is it still heavy? Did it go that way after you tried adjusting the clutch? Remember -- the big thin nut is just a locknut to keep it secure. The smaller longer nut, you screw in to make the cable slacker (i.e. have to pull in right to the bars to use the clutch), screw out to make the clutch cable tighter (only have to pull in a little bit to use the clutch). Are you pulling the clutch in the whole way? If not, and you're not rolling off the throttle properly, the gearshift will be heavy.

EDIT: Here's an auction for the mirror I have on my bike, $25 no reserve or $30 buy-now http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-157188502.htm

Can't understand why they aren't standard fitment on GoldWings

For that matter, I can't understand why a single cylinder air cooled auxiliary bike isn't standard fitment on a Goldwing. Like those housebuses you see towing a RAV4.

What's the GN250 fork diameter, anybody? I don't like my current clip-ons, not enough downwards slope on them. So if they'll fit a Ginny, you can have them cheap.

Gotta go into uni tomorrow, I'll bring my calipers and sneak up and measurerape the nearest GN250's forks with them.

just to do a head gasket? under an hour provided you have decent internet to find a manual/walkthrough

20 minutes with squiggles, i'd say 30 minutes but probably take 3 hours seeing as you'd may as well re-seat the valves, replace rings, replace piston for high-compression one, adjust tappets, mod the airbox/intake, build a high-flow high-noise exhaust, fit injectors and supercharge
