a) don't ride at times / places they know about
b) write in and complain on mass...

Isn't it both dangerous and entrapment when cops sit up your arse with their lights on high beam trying to goad you into racing?

He did a similar thing to chrislost a few weeks back on the auckland motorway, late at night, he was cruising at 95, said cop comes right up his arse, with high beams on, chris sped up to like 110 and gave him the finger out of frustration (as most of us would do to a normal car) and said cop pulls him over and throws the book at him. $1k+

Ask yourself - Riding with no WOF, REGO, and outside of licence conditions.

You have the option to pull to the left and let him go, or start speeding and pull the finger at him.

What one is the smart thing to do, and what one is just bloody stupid?

If people carry on like that then they will always get done for $$ after $$$$.

Anyway - to move forward:

Why not use the KB community. Apparently this copper is well known.

IF everyone who has bad instances with this guy (like the tail gaiting) got off their ass and lodged complaints (perhaps we could start a sticky thread for compaints actually lodged against this copper) it will get to the point when even the traffic powers that be will see "whoa baby - there is a problem here".

Heck - after 12 months we could use the information act to see how many formal compaints made by bikers were made against officer XXX - and that will make good reading in the Herald esp if the bastard is still on the road.

I'm pretty keen on the video evidence idea. Surely if enough of us with rear facing video cameras were able to catch him/them in the act on video then they'd be screwed. Surely you all have a camera that is capable of recording up to an hours footage - especially knowing that they only cover certain parts of the route anyway.

Surely if you aren't riding in a manor that would get you in trouble in the first place then he'd be the only one with something to worry about.

Its not entrapment its tailgating and it is a $150 fine for doing it. So next time it happens pull over, let them pass, note the car's rego, get on the phone to *555 and report their bad driving.

Nope, just to correct you Gareth...in this instance he followed us all the way from old north rd to dairy flats...we stopped had a 10 min break and took off again and whatttyaknow...hes up my arse again with lights on full...then overtakes me in a 100kph zone while I was doing 105kph??? He had no red and blues on and took off ahead after the guys way in front of me. He would have been traveling at 130kph at least in my estimations.. he's a wanker and I for one will be writing a formal complaint about him....fucker!

I think you are right. His behaviour and attitude pointed to a major boner in his pants for ruining bikers rides.
