That's an interesting post aye. An HD rider waving to other bikers and NOT getting the "wave" in return.......interesting indeed
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

    Funny shit.

When I was on my Jappa everyone waved apart from those on cruisers, When I'm on my HD I'm ignored, Apart from some riding Jap copies who become quite animated trying to get the wave thing going.

Personally, I don't give a flying fuck, I don't return many waves no matter what I'm riding, Does that make me a wanker?, Probably in some peoples minds, though the feeling isn't mutual.

The wave to me is meaningless

I'll give anyone the time of day when stopped, But when I'm riding, fuck it, I'm riding.

Perhaps we should have a "special" wave for KB'ers.........

I still want to know what that dude in the vid on one of the other waving threads meant by his "Asian wave" - I could practice doing it to gijoe1313 at school. Just like the secret masonic handshake or something.

I agree, I think you should start a poll on what the KB wave should be...

Being new(ish) in the saddle I gotta say I noticed within the first few days of riding even just locally that other riders were tipping their lids or lifting a hand as I went past. I started to return the gesture and now it is habitual... I have noticed tho (being a cruiser rider) that all cruiser riders I have waved / nodded to have returned the gesture, but sports / rocket riders dont seem to be as consistant... is there a bit of a us and them mentality between the two groups???

I think the official wave should be done with the foot, Lift it slightly from the peg and wiggle as you approach another bike.

Subtle enough that it won't be recognized or even noticed by anyone not familiar with it.

    Lmfao.

Next time I have my helmet camera hooked up I'm going to do big goofy waves to everyone on bikes, and upload the results to youtube. And if I have time, pull up beside some jappas, and ask em if they feel like wankers riding them things.

    Yes.

Each side thinks the other ones are stuck up cunts.

I went to house warming once and a lot of people there rode hogs. The conversations would abrubtly end when they found out I rode a sports bike.

I don't have a problem with Harleys. I have a problem with most of the owners...
