Don't know about the C grade mode, but most seem to suggest the K7 is faster in B mode. Who thinks it faster? Ex All Japan 125 and 250 GP rider Atushi Murata, who is the Suzuki settings test rider admits that he set his fastest time around Phillip Island at the launch of the K7 using B mode. Kevin Schwantz also stated that he was faster in B mode. This is info in the April 2007 Rapid Bikes magazine. You do know how the B mode works don't you?

Seems that either the NZ weather makes bikes produce more power than elsewhere in the world or there's plenty of complete BS being banded around in these parts re horsepower figures.
Dyno runs are useful for just one thing and that's taking a good, well maintained motor and developing it on the same dyno in as near conditions as possible between runs. They are a tuning/development tool for the skilled or a tool to boost egos/bullshit customers for others........
I've heard some people talking up how much they think a SP600 produces and it makes me chuckle when they quote figures beyond what my full FIM spec kitted 600's used to produce in Europe.

Yup. "B" mode supposedly allows full power with a softer delivery, I can see how some people can run faster with that delivery. "C" mode gives 70% full power. It's shit.
We have two maps we use on the WBP bike. Map 2 is the one I ran at Wanganui. Essentially Ray tuned the bike for less engine braking through the stock clutch by telling the injection to slow down it's close off rate. We kept that as a backup map as I really liked the way it performed. It's also really nice for wet weather.
Our "Map 1" is 21HP up on stock, but tuned for the Yoshi clutch which requires 1/3 less back torque to slip, so is probably about the same on braking but the butterflys close at the same rate as the throttle.
I've yet to test both maps in the wet but when I do, we'll make a further decision on what way to go in terms of wet power delivery.
