Nup.
I got told...
They do, but as you are not ment be riding it they wont insure you exept at your house.
which kind of defeats the purpose of theft insurance unless you are trying to build a clean insurance reccord.
aparently too many "stolen" bikes were getting found in ditches etc etc etc...
what if you were riding said bike in somewhere like Glen Innes, and you got mugged, and your bike stolen. could you claim then?
or you popped up to the shop for milk, left the bike outside the shop, and it got stolen from there? could you claim?
or, you were out riding it, and fell off it (not likely i know, but) then called your mate from the killer beez, and he stole it from the ditch? could you claim then?
best thread ever......
anyway no its not my first bike, infact its about my 16th I just came from riding dirt bikes and riding a 250 aint my thing.
I just dont want to go spend 12 grand on a bike then have some fucker steal it and end up with nothing.
sooooo, write that down on a napkin, fill the fucken form out, pay ur fucken 22bux, and in ten days time you will get a letter - ta-da! fucken exemption! Piece of piss.
I was in exactly the same situation as you - aint no way I was going to ride a pissy little 250 for a whole damn year. They just wrote out the exemption - no questions asked. There is only one problem, and that is you don't get to ride around feeling like a lawbreaker - much to be said for this.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
"Wow, Great advise there DB."
WTB: Hyosung bikes or going or not.
[QUOTE=dave_a;1593930]Dont post in my threads, Out of every post I have seen from you not one has been constructive.

.xjr...
.."What's with all the lights"..officer..
And I dont want to spend 12 grand on a bike just to have some fucker who cant be botherd to get dispensation crash into me and have no insurance.
Grow up - get off your high horse, get dispensation and get insured properly. Or if you cannot get dispensation - tough shit - ride within the terms of your licence.
Im sick of people that think that they are such riding gods that the law shoudnt apply to them.
DB's comment was constructive - its just thet you were to stupid to see it.
tardeme.
I bought a '97 YZF600R with Ohlins suspension and a tweaked engine that ran with better/faster/newer bikes for 5k. that was from a dealer. Rode it to work every day for 2 years, did trackdays and plenty of weekend rides and sometimes wish I still had it.
Work mate bought a '96 ZX6R - 45000kms, near mint condition for $4600. The thing rides beautifully.
Search and you shall find...they're everywhere when you look around at take yer time![]()
have you called and asked?
Dave at Kiwibike is really constructive and is a biker too.... he will let you know what you can insure and what you cant... how long until you get your full? i'd say you can insure it for fire and theft, then change it when you get the right licence.
Taking it to the track thanks to: KIWIBIKE INSURANCE & PIRELLI TYRES, EXPERIENCE MOTORCYCLES, EBC Brakes, SUPERSPROX Sprockets, TSUBAKI Chains, RST Leathers, REPSOL Oils, FutureGrafix, Autolink
