Don't know you, don't care if you talk out your arse or not and if you do I have no problem telling you, even to your face if needed. Im saying what happened to you could be quite different to others and what works for you could create problems for others. I've got plenty of experience on bikes and misbehaving but little with upsetting the Police in the process because I had a think about what, where and when before I put anything into action, be it alone or with others. As a general rule of thumb the ones that make alot of noise in life often are talking out there arse and I would warn others with NFI to take what they say as true.

54 in a 50 is the tolerance around a school, 90 minutes before school starts and 90 mins after it finishes... 55 plus within these frames, ticket time.

10kmph is the other tolerance. 11 or more is ticket time. Some tolerate a bit more.... some don't....

We had a similar thing with cruise control in our Honda,used to set it when speedo was at 55km for town driving,partner was pinged at 56km in town,she said to the cop the c/c was on and set at 55,cop said is it calibrated?She was suitably pissed off and said what,he said certified calibration or some shit,she said yep when the car was new,cop had no humour at that answer,she said your going to ticket me so gave him shit.Managed to get it chucked out in court.

The problem is that doing 52 in a 50, while technically illegal, is not beyond the speedometer's margin of error. You could be doing 47 as far as your speedo is concerned and still be done for 52. In Switzerland they actually deduct 5kph from the ticket before working out the alleged speed. This is an official thing (i.e. is printed on the speed camera notice) and not just the cop being nice.

Best speed check is the trailer mounted sensors,like going passed at 50km,the work van was showing 47km,to get to 50km on trailer van was doing 56 or so.Good to go passed turn back and see the lights show,slow,slow down,slow down now.

I shit you not, this is no troll but I dont give a rats arse if anyone wants to believe it or not. The 10kph tolerance is gone now so some here might learn the hard way? Also trying hard to get any form of radar dection banned, Im putting mine back in the wagon as more a statement than needing the warning. From what I can gather it looks like its been push through by the politicians who have a obvious lack of common sense...

Do you think that the Cops are seeing a cent of the money? Is it being used to buy the Police better equipment? Improved roading? No, it all goes into the Government slush fund, to be spent however Helen deems necessary.

The fine for 2 km/h over is $30. If the ticket cost more than that, the driver is making it up.

The cost of the administration for processing a ticket has been worked out (by the people who process them) at $25.

So, revenue collecting. I guess Helen will be able to have a cup of coffee at this guys expense with the huge $5 the govt made from this ticket.

The extra $5 is just a huge way to say "IF YA DON'T WANT TICKETS DON'T DRIVE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT..............DAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED THE SPEED LIMIT"

Was down wellington way and not up here. No idea what the rules are here and just was working on the theory its NZ wide.
