Too many good pubs nation wide.
Te Kaha before the fire was a good stop.
As Hitch mentioned, the Avoca has a good feel about it. Awakino, Matawai, Naseby, The Red used to be the place after cemetery circuit.
    Awahuri, hell, way too many.........

    In CH-CH

If you are ever in Christchurch go for a ride to akaroa, before that you will hit little river, the pub is just before the village stop there for a really good feed and excellent service.

Lol one time there was about 50 bikes there and a R1 came hooning down the hill and went wide on the corner to the bridge and smacked a car... wasn't the excitement we wanted to see....

It's been a couple of years since we've called in. I keep meaning to organise a Corgi Run one summer weekend...

Speaking of good pubs, before their respective fires:

    The Rat Trap, Takaka Hill
    Apiti Hotel

We've been past a couple of times. It's worth a stop then?
