Also look at the Nelson Ccity Council district plan, as they can limit you to no more than 4 riders on one property and only a certain number of times per year too. It is with all these so called townies/greanies moving into livestyle blocks that they have amended the District plan. Sad bugger's really next they will want to stop the cows from mooowing. But the buggers get there way- a few spoil it for a lot. How long before other district councils follow suit.

Then make sure you submit on any proposed plan changes! Not sure who might be able to help you with such a chore

• Recreational riding of motorbikes on Rural 1 and Rural 2 zoned properties shall be subject to the following guidelines:
• Not more than four motorbikes shall be used on a property at any one time.
• Motorbikes used on the property shall have standard, factory-fitted, unmodified exhaust systems that are properly maintained.
• A maximum period of up to four hours per day from the time of start of riding (i.e. if riding commences at 2.00 pm it must finish at 6.00 pm). Riding times shall be between the hours of 9.00 am and 7.00 pm.
• Up to three non-consecutive days may be used in a one week period (i.e. between Monday to Sunday inclusive).
• An appropriate area away from adjacent neighbours should be used as far as is practicable for the recreational riding of motorbikes on an individual property.
• Those responsible for the recreational motorbike riding on their property will inform the potentially affected neighbours of a likely timetable in accordance with the above limitations indicating the days and times during which motorbike riding is likely to take place.
• The terms of this Code of Practice may be varied with the written agreement of adjacent neighbours.
• Proven non-compliance with this Code of Practice may result in appropriate enforcement action being instigated under the Resource Management Act 1991.

That has been tried before, i have a customer that comes into work that had some new neighbors they complained the cows chew to loudly at night and was keeping them up. So he put the cows in that padock on purpose every night till they moved out.

Your are right Nordieboy, it is the TDC- i knew i had read it some where and just serached it up. I wonder how long other DC's will implent this regulation. How sad it that, maybe they could put in also no more than 4 boy racers at a time, that might get them off the street. It smacks of too PC again. Knock people having fun. Wasn't it on TV a while ago that someone complained about the church bells being rung so they had to stop ringing them that; how sad it that, that one person can get away with this and no doubt casue grief to a great many people.
