Sounds good Mike. I'll try n clear all of Fri, and meet you somewhere thats central. (will drag a few maps out) Is link Rd through the Pureora a goer Clint?
Might hook up with some others near Tauramanui, and take it from there.
Clint - can you stick me down for the Friday night accommodation as well
thanks
Mark
Looks like the Fri night might be a bit of a party! I'll enquire about meal options when I book & let y'all know what's on the menu.
The Rangitaiki Tavern is the place where we stopped at the end of last years ride. The Rangitaiki Lodge is about 5km back towards Taupo & will be the alternative accomodation.
Not sure on the name, I'd have to check the map, but if you mean the main road through Pureora starting at the forest HQ that's a reasonable gravel road, & a really nice ride. We might even go for a burn through there this weekend.
Cheers
Clint
That will be the one I think. (comes out on hwy32 near Whangamata Rd. Rd to Kinloch)
me to for a bed on the Friday night please Clint - cheers Aslan aka Stephen O![]()
Count me in Clint. If there's room at the inn, I'll stay friday at the Rangi Tavern, otherwise I'll stay at my bro's in Taupo. I'd be leaving Plimmerton around noon Friday and aiming to get back by noon Monday so will prolly head for Taupo Sunday night.

So are the cabins booked out? How did that end up Clint?
I'll be there.
Hey Clint - LC8 or LC4?
No worries. At Rotoiti there are 5 spare single beds, a double bed & a fold out couch, none of which have been claimed yet, so heaps of room!
Good stuff, you're in!
The inn is filling fast but you're inn toobe great to have you along!
Called up this morning & they weren't booked out, so they are now! There are2 cabins with 3 single beds in each & 2 cabins with a single & 2 doubles in each. So at the moment there's 1 bunk left. Apparently the pub is changing hands, & I kinda got the impression that their booking system is a note stuck to the fridge or similar, so I'll call up again in a couple of weeks to confirm.
Sweet! You'd have fun on either bike however given there's no snotty tracks on the ride, but there are a quite a few wide open stretches of deserted gravel, I'd say bring the LC8.
Cheers
Clint
