lol that'd be a typo, should read around 25000km

you'd think a warning popup would come up or something when they enter such ridiculous numbers

but ya, tuesday afternoon to view the vtr, if it's still up for grabs. will update tomorrow to confirm a time frame in which we can go view it.
It'll be a typo by one of the WOF guys - bike speedos don't go past 99,999km.

haha! that's pretty slack. in that case, not that bad. haven't gotten word back from the owner of the vtr, so i'm thinking we may as well just head straight to the venue. i finish work at 4, so can walk straight there (work NEXT DOOR to showgirls, at TICKETMASTER). though showgirls wouldn't be all that bad

see u guys there at bout half 4!!!

    dude pull that down!

that's not your address to be posting up on the net - for all we know some munter is lurking these forums loking for bikes to steal and you just gave a set of photos (TM auction), value of the bike, AND an address with map!

or some guy will beat you there and buy it

(why do you think most of us say "PM me for address" when we meet at our homes? or we tend to delete number plates from photos?)

u're joking. that's kinda raw of them. surely ppl aren't like that. that's put a slight damper on my concept of the biking world. bit naive of me i guess, but what to do. it's the way i am.

don't have credit, but if jaffa doesn't mind, i can text him to text u if i get a reply from the owner.

    Hey Zim,
Just under 3 years ago I started to ride. Had got my Learners...
I went straight out and bought a GS500 K4, done 2,000 km. By no means a sports bike but had the looks of one. Drove is sensibly up until 4 weeks ago when a guy cut in front of me. (Had not got the full licence by then, and therefore no insurance) I thought it was a good bike for learning considering the communting to and from work 5 days a week.

The only thing I regret around getting a bike you are not licenced to ride is the insurance.

Personally I say the VTR 250, but any bike that you can get insurance on is GREAT bike. (Ya never know when someone might cut you off)

All the best in the hunting,
    Swifty

it's not just the biking world, it's the REAL world.

unfortunately, bikes are fairly often stolen, and trademe is a pretty good way for a theif to go bike shopping as many people don't realise you can get the address of a bike for only $2 if you can recall the make, colour and plate number. posting up an address for them makes things even easier.

my mate even had his dirtbike stolen from the back of a van in a hospital carpark. some people have no respect for others whatsoever.

(and you may want to read the privacy act re. publicly posting private information)
