My motorbike doesn't fire up for some reason. Dunno how to fix it.
Could somebody give me a help to have a look or tell me where can I get it fixed, please.
I'm new in Christchurch, haven't met any friends here. ; (

Closest would be Just Motorcycles in Hawke St, New Brighton. They're a pretty helpful bunch. Apart from that you need to go right across town to Hornby (Norjo Motors) to find the Kawasaki dealer. Good luck with it.

I have had some good experiences at Norjos..although others have critisized them from time to time. Duanes bikes and skis are very good. Both are the other side of town to you as Oakie said.
Have you got Norjos contact number?
Would they pick up my bike?
What exactly is it your bike does or doesn't do?
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
Both 'Just Motorcycles' and 'Norjo' can pick up if they have staff with time on their hands. It will cost though. The former are much closer to you so would probably only cost you half as much to pick uo. Gordon, the mechanic at Norjo, is a top bloke though and has gone the extra mile for me so either place is good.
Isn't there a bike shop in Kaiapoi in the light industrial area at the south eastern part of the town? Near Repco(?) I'm sure I spent 2 minutes in there a year ago looking at dirt bikes. If they are still there and are in fact a bike shop they may be able to help with yours ... even if it's just to diagnose the problem. Errr. I'm not a mechanic's arsehole but out of curiousity and as a guy with two similar sized in-line fours in the garage, what are the symptoms of your problem? Nice profile pic by the way.

I dont know the name of the place, but
Just north of the corner of Maurihau Rd and Marshlands Rd is a bike mechanic.
I have had work done by him, with no problems, or delays,to a good standard too.
I think that he can collect as well.
He deals in a wide selection of ride, Jap & Brit, so must know his job.
Worth a shot?
I will be seeing him myself soon for my Yammy...so a Kwaka would be no probs I guess
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.
Ahh. I've often wondered exactly what goes on in there. Noticed the bikes there for a couple of years but never actually noticed any signage.

I rang Norjo to pick up and it costs $120. I can't find anyone who can ship the bike....; (
the bike just makes the electrical noice when I try to start it.
Rent a trailer, like $30 a day I guess. Buy some racchet tie downs (maybe another $30-50), or get some rope (be extra viglant to secure with rope). Grab a friend and lift onto the trailer and strap it down
Drive to Norjos or Duanes (Daune's ++1) and drop off. Cost a little less than $120
Or if you are a AA member, they might be able to do it for me. I've had a bike pickup from between Hamner and Cheviot using my AA membership

Good on ya awayatc. Perhaps bismark has made his first friend?
(Any one wanna bet it's the kill-switch?)

If it's a clicking noise it's as Silage said, the battery is dying and the solenoid is trying to it's thing but isn't getting enough juice.
New Battery = YTX7L-BS
The battery will cost less than the cost of having the bike picked-up, bloody rip-off for that distance too![]()
