Oh, I see. I guess I used to be an almost then. I spent last year in Balclutha studying at Telford Polytechnic. I'm not sure if you have heard of it?

And home to some of the best riding in the area... I LOVE that road.... Have been back and forth on it a few times... its about the 3rd time you go past the campervans plodding along that they start looking at you funny...

Heard of it? It always seems to be blowing like 40 bastards along that straight, especially if I'm riding it! I'm about 50km further on on the same road.

Looks like you'll fit in just fine!

Welcome and if you want to know something use the search feature before starting a new thread... chances are you'll feel the fire and brimstone otherwise! So far, KB'ers seem to be a great bunch of people!

    Jump on the Bandwagon...

Well i figure i might as well jump on the bandwagon and introduce myself as a newbie on here as well...

I've been reading the forum a lot (lurking i guess). Got my Learners at the start of the year but haven't got a bike yet (still looking and saving - ahhh the joys of small business and no money haha)

I'd just like to thank Rick at MCR down here in Dunners for being a big help in me (or should i say boot up the arse!) actually getting my licence haha

Been a car lover for years but have always had a passion for bikes that has been hard to supress. Now at the ripe age *cough* early 30's i figured enough procrastinating and get our there and do it!

Been contemplating a Scorpio, which isn't a bike that I intially thought about. The new 08 model with alloy wheels as opposed to those god awful spokes is a not too bad... (a flat bar and risers wouldn't look too bad either ).

I'm a big fan of sport bikes but the thought of spending 5k or more on something 20years old doesn't excite me and as much as i LOVE the new ninja, I think i'd rather get something cheap so i can save my pennies for a bigger bike when i'm ready.

Anyway I'm sure i'm change my mind a million time more before i actually buy something! haha

    err...so thats me anyway... err...hi

Welcome aboard you two, I'm sure that once this weather clears up there'll be bikes itching for a ride.
Savante get your restricted as soon as you can, so your full will be closer and open up your options. But do it at your own pace, your still a spring chicken I didn't get back into it till my 40's and enjoying every minute of it 15000k in the first year
