    Mobil is gay.

anyone who actually pays for prepay on the bike should just bend over. stand by the pump with the nozzle in ya tank until they turn it on - if they get on the pa system and instruct prepay only, then get on ya bike and go to a different gassy.

    btw, heres the ethanol list.

Yep, and look in the other thread (about the hyosungs) and it has an NZ list which says Suzukis are ok.

Leave the nozzle on the ground where all other useless items belong too...

I once threw a traffic cone at the window of the shell on rata street. he wouldnt let me fill up whilst straddling my bike, and then wanted pre pay.

FWIW, there is a $100 limit on EFTPOS at pump anyway. Used to only hit it when on the way to a track day and filling up the car, the bike, and a jerry can. These days the car will do it by itself no worries. I actually had forgotten about that when filling up at the Taupo Mobil last weekend on the way to the Berm Buster ride. Filled the car first, hit the limit while still having no gas for the bike.

Was not a happy camper, I tell ya.

Sorry, the kid must have known next-to-nothing.

It's the new chip-card Credit cards that are the problem, the machines on the pumps won't recognize them, and won't use them, and the primative software dies at the very whiff of new technology, so rather that upgrade the machines (and give themselves something to stand out from their competitors) they will be making them MobilCard and FleetCard only.

Pretty piss-poor effort if you ask me.

Ah. I never actually knew Mobil did this. Felt like a right stupid dickhead standing at the pump, squeezing the handle... Waiting... Waiting...
Go inside, 'Is the pump broken or something?' Walk back out and try again...

Walk back in. 'Yo, can I please fill up my bike?'
    "Fill up? ooooooooh! Ok!"
Sure enough, I can fill up my bike. Couldn't stop scratching my head over that one.

Only took another fill up for him to realise I'll fill up every time =)
Good Mr. Pump guy, good Mr. Pump guy.

    Nice quote Gubb!

P.s, how the hell do I attach a fuel gauge or a water temp gauge to my prehistoric animal?

Or a hood cluster... On my tank...

i cant be bothered with prepay- its ok if you want to put say $20 in but when i want to fill my tank its too much of a hassle. i just end up going to the next service station and never go back to the prepay one

Sure, because they brew the fuel themselves. Probably about $100 a year they're losing.

It's a safety issue. The bloke could lose his job for turning the pump on whilst you're straddling the bike. Similar with smoking, using mobile phones, etc etc.

Mythbusters proved that a cellphone could not ignite petrol vapour, nor a cigarette light petrol.

I have a video that shows otherwise, a woman with half her face burnt. Not pretty.

Whatever. Them 's the fuckin rules and the guy at the till doesn't make them.

Try smoking a cigarette in the pits of one of the motorcycle race meetings and see how popular you are.
