Triboy - don't forget to book the good weather!

I also presume we will meet up on Saturday morning?

Hi Tri Boy, question from the Auckland fellas & fellasses, are we going to be able to ditch our gear before beginning the gravel rides?

(If we ain't, we'll have to go down the uber lightweight luggage option)

    Cheers, looking forward to it!

The ride out of Akld, down to Kawhia is generally easy on loaded bikes.
I'm picking Ian (crisis) will lead you down the coast, maybe into Raglan and around the coast side towards Ruapuke etc, so it shouldn't be too gnarley.
Travel light for an o/nighter. Bach has most things on hand.

Mike, I plan on meeting up with you guys, and lead you to the bach.
I'll get serious about routes straight after Clints ride.
A few ph calls will have it sussed quickly.
Sunday will hopefully (weather dependent) see us out at Taharoa checking out a few places, then getting the groups pointing in the right direction for home, (leaving enough daylight to have you home by 5.30-6.00ish).

When are you planning on sloping off for this one Iain? My bike gets back into NZ on Monday, so I am still hopeful for this one although it's beginning to look as if getting it back could be harder than getting it into Oz.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.

Haven't given it any thought so far but I wouldn't mind exploring the middle roads (between 22 and the coast) a bit more. Realistically I suppose 8 to 9 ish start? Weather & numbers / speed dependant.

I looked at my calendar for the first time since I got home after posting that question last night. This run clashes with the Ulysses Rememberance Run which is a traditional one for Nicky and I since wayback.
Looks Like I'm out this time.

(might have to revisit Hauturu rd, to see if a track is put in place to get round the slip).
