The adage "If it looks to good to be true, it is" certainly applies here.

It reminds me of an occasion about 15 years ago. I was on Khyber Pass Rd, waiting to be picked up by my girlfriend, when a van pulled up in front of me. This "chap" asked me if I wanted to buy some audio loudspeakers. Apparently they had just finished an installation at a recording studio, but the boss had "ordered too many" and now they just wanted "to get rid of them"

I looked in the back of the van, and they were there alright, but something didn't feel right about the deal, so I passed.

Turns out they were the correct housings fitted with cheap speakers.

These cretins only catch the greedy ones.

Pity if that is a scam.

Very nice looking bike, pretty much the same as YR64L's. I hear you can't get them in black anymore too....

    Of course it's a scam.

    It's pretty clear...

I mean after all, how many real R6 owners can read and write...
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

the other thing with these scammers is they often use another auctions genuine photos. Saves them having to dodgy some up themselves.

A guy on Vorb found his mountain bike (exact photo and specs from his ad) advertised on a forum in germany. He reported it to the forum owner but never got a response (at least not that i saw).

It makes Motorcycle Trader look bad doesn't it? I would have thought they would want to remove this sort of classified asap to maintain the integrity of their system.

Gotta laugh at the phrases used in the emails, who, in NZ, disusses prices with other NZers, using 'NZD' in the price? Also would we normally call freight within NZ 'shipping'?

Yup lol and the fact that he quoted a shipping price of around 300 dollars....can you even ship anything internationally or even around NZ for that amount of money?
As for Motorcycle Trader i dont think they realised it was a scam and like i said earlier if it gets relisted i will inform them.
If anything moto trader should implement a feedback system, but it may not work as the average joe doesnt sell their bike very often.

IMO always check the bike out in person before you buy it, you can generally gauge the seller and tell if theyre genuine or if theyre the type that abuses the bike etc etc

I found a couple on trade me a couple of nights ago they had even hacked someones geneuine log on but its so easy to see, i reported the listings straight away. Scammers are scum for sure but if anyone is stupid enough to get scammed by something like this they shouldnt be buying online
