Not a wind up: End of my road biking days for now

Well boys and girls, it was fun - but my road riding days have come to an end for at least the next two years. Yes, the NZ Police have bled me financially dry and taken my license for a fourth time. Now with just 10 demerit points left for the next 2 years, I simply cannot continue biking on-road.

My bike will be put up for sale this weekend but I will keep my riding gear for possible motard and bucket racing...

I want to keep this brief, so I will just say - cheers for some wicked rides and good times. If I do get into racing, I expect to see you guys there picking me and my bike up off the track!

One last thing: stay alert folks, there are more cops turned-revenue-hunters out there now than ever, and they are all looking for YOUR blood. There are few "times and places" now to have a little fun on your bike.

Oh man that's sad to hear!!! I'd wondered why you've been so quiet lately.

It's been awesome riding with ya, I'm sure we'll see you back out there again someday

I know that he'd rather be doing 59.99km/h on a motorbike than 55km/h in a bus.

I tried giving up biking once. Within that 2 months everytime a bike went pass me my hands started to shiver and I knew I was missing out on all the fun.....but in my case there was no demerit or licence issues.......

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

You jealous of his success after all of your attempts?

Ironic really, a cb900 keeps me out of trouble, the zx10 and others got me into plenty.

Can't fault him for trying tho

Macstar: not sure how losing your license and only having 10 dm work, unless you got a 28 day? Best of luck tho, you have to do what you have to do.
