Just try and enjoy the next couple of years - you can take up lots of new hobbies. Like stamp collecting, crochet, lawn bowls, or drinking ....
that wasnt a Clash song really: You need to read this wiki entry.

The DK's version is O for orsome but the Bobby Fuller Four version rocks also.

I think I have a version by Johnny Cash somewhere too.

    great song.

They didnt win - you lost.

If there is no way you can ride in a manner that is reasonable to the extent that you have to keep yourself off the road - then big ups - the more people like that off the road the better.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy riding a bike without having to be balls to the wall all the time.

Try it - you may find that there is more to biking than going fast. (yep its true)

Dont get me wrong , I am actualy considering an HD or Guzzi as a second bike , kind of like the idea of just cruising every now and then.

    great song.
The wiki entry (you need to fix your link btw) does not include the fact that Fuller was full of petrol - ie. he had 'drunk' a lot of it. A strange form of suicide one would think.

And for Morepower nothing ever makes you do anything. Having a wife, kids etc does not make you slow down.
Only you can make you do anything or slow down because of wife, kids etc.

On the musical theme, as the fun loving criminals said:

"Come on, find yourself. Its you, its always been you, its always been in you."

You'll change when you decide to. Until then it'll be licence tag with the pol-lice. Maybe do a lot more track days and get that Harley for the street?
    Motorcycle songlist:
Best blast soundtrack:Born to be wild (Steppenwolf)
Best sunny ride: Runnin' down a dream (Tom Petty)
Don't want to hear ...: Slip, slidin' away, Caught by the Fuzz or Bam Thwok!(Paul Simon/Supergrass/The Pixies)
