The key word here is 'attempted' - i.e. not achieved.

EDIT: See my post today on the thread about the car thief and his 'attempt'

Sorry if it's off-topic but FJRider started it!!!

Canterbury, probably on a bit of the mother-in-law's land at Takamatua ( just out of Akaroa ) is on our 5 year plan. Had a scholastically unsuccessful year at Canterbury Uni back when Adam was a cowboy but loved the city and countryside even with its problems

Yep - that too. And now I've gone to Brissy, there's one less tax-paying shitty Brit in Auckland

    Brrrrrrrrrrrr

Bloody hippy lol ! Motueka for you lass !

Was wondering who was gonna lock that in ! Lol wise man if i ever seen one !

Don't think it matters what anyone says here, think owners got it sussed ! A hippy should fit right on in at the mt !

Still recon if ya look at the weather we been having last couple of months ! Nelson is the winner for bikers !
I come from a small village of about 3500 peeps and mostly everyone say Hi and gives you the time of day even if they don't know you. But that is the North for you, not like most bloody snooty, wouldn't help their granny if she needed it Southerners!

As for Hippy, I guess that does fit in with me being a RIGHT WING, humanitarian green. I just love nature and usually prefer animals to humans (yes animals don't answer back. I like my privacy when at home so yes I would love a HUGE secluded garden (don't have much space for them over here). I lived on a mountain in Wales and was surrounded by sheep, it was the best place I ever lived with views over the water.

And OWNER is a smart grasshoper!!

Anyway. Here's a picture of Invercargill in the Winter. Looks warm enough to me.

    Taupo FTW

Awesome lake for skiing, fishing, sailing and all those other water based sports
Mountains an hour and a half away but nearly always in view
    Taupo track ten mins away
Can ride around the lake, which is an awesome ride with amazing views
Mountainbike tracks if your pedal inclined
    Scenic walking tracks

    The down sides are...
If you like clothes shopping, Taupo isn't very good
It's pretty boring if you're a young teen, but if you're old enough to get out and about and explore... Then it's awesome

Taupo is pretty muchly the only place I'd live in the North Island, if it wasn't here... Then it'd be in the South Island some where.

In reality... Any where but Auckland, big cities scare me
