    Bonneville - early bike results

Blatantly stolen from the NZ Hot Rod forums for those who might be interested:

Here's a brief on the Kiwi bikes performance so far....

    Team: Black Thunder Racing - Rider: Alan Thoreson - Bike: Kawasaki ZX14 - Class: PP – 1650cc & M/F & MPS/F

    Current class record:196.604 & 197.146 & 219.555 mph

Alan's made 2 runs on day 1 with a best speed of 166.727...in class P-P. well away from the record.

Team: Walk the Line Racing - Rider: Danny Thompson - Bike: Indian –The Paducah Flyer - Class: SCVG – 350cc - Current class record: No current record

No times recorded for Danny on Day 1

Team: Corey Bertelsen - Rider: Corey Bertelsen - Bike: Honda 250cc - Class: MPS/F
    Current class record: 157.576 mph

Corey ran 3 times on day 1 in class APS-G with a best speed of 128.165...gainst a record in that class of 155.729mph. He's still a bit off the pace.

    Team: Shane Taylor - Rider: Shane Taylor - Bike: Yamaha FZR 400 - Class: MPS/G – 500cc
    Current class record: 172.941 mph

Shane ran once on day 1 and ran a best of 93.135mph...he's also well off the pace.
The guys need to pick up the pace . . . good to see such a strong Kiwi representation at Speedweek 08, hope the boys manage to bag some records for their efforts.

Now he's not riding it, it should go a bit quicker
