2 minutes later i walked out with my wife and kids, he said "F*** you" got in his SUV which hasnt seen a dry grass paddock let alone mud and drove away ...

    i want my frikken beers!!!
    This is an interesting situation....

I'm not sure I fully agree with you...but I'm Libran so regularly play both sides of the fence on matters just cos I can...and I'm a shit stirrer..so there!

Hang with me here...my thinking is this.

The kiddie parks are there to ensure that parents out with their littlies can travel safely to and from their cars. In your instance there were two kiddies and two adults...so I don't see that there really was a great need for you to use the park. Take for instance the poor mother with the three littlies that I helped that day due to the 'SKINNY LATTE DRINKING BIARCH'.

Though I do see your side I also feel for her and in your case she would again have been stuck with only two hands trying to get three kids safely to the door of the supermarket. This is why I don't use these parks myself...two hands and only one kid.

Just a thought...not getting at you in the least...BUT YES YOU SHOULD definitely have chased him for the beers

in all honesty, i think those kiddie parks are a crock. i know my parents never needed a special park, and neither did their parents and so on and so forth. so what makes parents these days so special? families are that much bigger than they used to be. there should be more disabled parks avaliable instead.

As soon as I am disabled (well, physically) I shall get right on rallying for that cause. BTW ever been 9 months pregnant, about to burst out shopping by yourself with a young baby?

...I've done pregnant but not while towing another small one..but I have watched enough mothers who are to know that the bad old days when these things didn't exist are just that...the bad old days.

Spose you also don't think there should be escalators and elevators? What makes all us so special that we can't just cope with stairs anyway?! Aaaaaand Now I am just shit stirring for the sake of it...time to get some lunch...

We managed for years with three chitlins, one of whom is autistic, and never felt the need to park right next to the doors. Maybe we never saw parenthood as some kinda disablement. ANd making the little buggers walk a few hundred extra metres helped to burn off some of the mischieviousness.

    I don't really get it...
+1. What is so hard about walking with the kids the distance required? And if they're too young to walk, there's something called a pram. I agree with the need for disabled car parks, but special parks for able bodied parents is just complete bullshit. Parenting doesn't take away your ability to walk!

I am sick of people with kids thinking that being parents somehow makes them special and entitled to things that the rest of us don't have. Parents have the responsibility of teaching their kids to walk through parking lots safely, they don't need a special parking space.

As an unknowing (some may say ignorant) mere male, could some with a higher understanding of all things relating to children, explain the purpose of those little signs put in the back windows of cars (usually wagons or peoplemovers). You know the ones..."Baby on Board".

    Is it so.
    a. we dont intentionally run into them.
    b. we treat them any more differently than any other vehicle on the road.
    c. other.

    If "other", please explain...

Tells emergency services peeps there's a little person inside the crushed up vehicle, just in case they miss them.

Parent & child parking spaces also get on my (man) tits. Like...woopdee doo...you've managed to breed so have priority parking. Here's a better idea, get the parents and children to go shopping during the day whilst the rest of us are at work. Plenty of parking spaces then.

When my kids were small we used harnesses. You could lead 3 or 4 around safely. Also kept them under control inside. Never see them used these days.
