Could be possible - don't want to overcomplicate things tho. A chance that I may be able to sneak off on Friday afternoon at around 3 & get down there - will have to try & plan for that - traffic will be shite tho, what with the start of school hols ...
All else fails I will try & see hwo the genaral schedule works & try to meet somewhere later on Sat morning.
Hurtling aside, can we cut thru this crap and get back on thread?
JUST WOT THE FUCK IS THE PLAN FOR FRIDAY 26 SEPTEMBER IAIN?
Cow stand on your hand this morning?
I suppose this burst of outrage means we are going to have to put up with you as well on friday......bringing your new toy as well?
Plans then...I'll amend the first post of this thread but basically I will be in taupo at 9am (the things I do for you lot, I'll have to leave about 3am to avoid "hurtling"). Leave Taupo shortly after 9.00 heading for the start of the 42 traverse which is notionally Kapoors road planning on being there around 10ish and then the hurtling down the track can begin around 10.30.
Lunch at Owhango pub (12.30 ish) then gravel via some yet to be decided route to Awakino. If some want to do Fishers track we can meet up after the track, I don't want to get the Kaboom muddy.
Thats as much organising as you get, I wouldn't mind knowing who's planning on meeting up where but I don't want that info until a couple of days out.
If the weather is really crap I will bail a (decision made day or so before) and just do a late run down the west coast to Awakino.
Hey johannvr, i have planned a little excursion leaving from Hamilton on the saturday morning to meet in Ohura via some great gravel roads - honokiwi rd to kaimango rd to hautaru rd then waipuna rd to mairoa rd to pio pio.Gas up in pio pio and then down waitewhena rd to ohura.
Could meet up with you on the western side of Hamilton if you are interested in tagging / HURTLING along
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time
9am Taupo, what pub is open at that time?
We better find some location
Yup....a location to meet at 0900 in Taupo would be good.?
No Iain, wasn't shouting/angry( I don't do angrynly even)....just wanted to be noticed amoungst all the irrelevant crap.
I just might be interested in a days excursion with youz, particubly if it be a nice day, on the day....so to speak.
So as I don't upset ur arrangements, I shall not register my interest yet however, not till 'a couple of daze out'.
Smile....ur waterpump may last a little longer yet!
Speaking of water pumps, you fullers that have just gone and got yourself ktm 9x0's might be interested in this web site http://www.ktm950.info/. Has pretty much all the info you need about the known issues and how to repair them plus some suggested mods. It is put together by the guys on ADVrider.
And if you are a dairy farmer with bugger all to do between milking have a look at this thread on adv rider http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137838

I updated the first bloody post, you have to read it and all (well, not all but some vaque idea) will be revealed.
I didn't think you were angry Ducatijim, just reacting in my usual sarcastic manner.....be great to see you.
Water pumps, clutch slave cylinders, crap batteries, vacuum locks in fuel tanks, exploding clutches (ask Oscar)??
But they don't burn oil like KLR's
Ryan, have a look at the "OC hall of wisdom" site, all you could wish to know about the big Katooms.
