Partner and I are Ballroom Dancers - have been for the past fifteen years. One of the best ways to get fit that I have used.....(AND you get your hands on lotsa nice ladies...hurhurhur......)
We are quite serious about it though - we compete (with some success) and train five days a week......I would have to say that of all the sports I have participated in (and there have been quite a few), this has taken the most effort to achieve success in - mostly because you are not just working on your own - you have to work two people together as one...easier said than done in practice.....when in training mode I run about six kilos lighter than when not training.....it does wonders for abdominal strength (ya hafta hold your gut in) as well as leg strength.....fixed my dicky knees with added quad fitness.....can recommend it.....
