Guys out of respect for lost riders can we please keep this on topic not have a bitch fight starting up.
Folks,
I was on SH3 yesterday just before this accident happened. It was pissing down with rain at the time, and I understand the incident did not happen on a straight piece of road.
My sister (in another vehicle about 10-15mins behind us) was one of the first to the scene of the incident which seems to have taken place at or very close to the turn-off to Duddings Lake.
Why post this? Don't make assumptions before you know the facts. I wasn't there when this happened, and neither were any of you.
Ride on while you can enjoy it.
Around 1.30pm today, a second motorcyclist, Lance John Chalk, 34, was killed when he crashed off SH1 in Kauri, north of Whangarei.
Lance, Me old mate, I'm stunned, shattered.
RIP.
fuck it.
RIP to both riders.
Very sad to here.

RIP ...
RIP fellow bikers.
In seperate incidences, one near Bulls, one in Northland.
The paper did name one of those involved and elaborated more, I will leave it that.
Very sad news indeed,
R.I.P both of you.
For a start, it wasn't yesterday and yeah, we already know.
Yeah sorry about that, didn't see the thread had already been started. Thanks for the merge.
Sad to say we discovered at our club night last night that the young lady, although not a member of our club, had attended at least one of our rides on the back of a member's bike. Bit too close for comfort.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
I know, i've only been on my bike for near on four months and from the day i started riding every time I saw it on the news, read the paper or in a thread i got/get a sick feeling in the pit of my gut.
I know death is part of life and will happen to us all one day but i still fuk'n hate it!
