The bridge just past the end of the track proper (past the Mt Richmond turnoff).
You go around a left hander and it drops down and right over the bridge.
Instead of dropping down to the left go right on the outside of the corner...
    Slowly

I did have the use of a trr250 until the owner rode it into a tree a couple of weeks ago
Apart from boggy sections an adv bike with MT21's should be fine.
Occasionally there are some little "challenging" bits but nothing as bad as that river crossing on the "B" sections.
Parents take kids on mini bikes around the "B" tracks sometimes.

The one on the Maungatapu Road, only a few corners after the Track joins it. BusaJim's bridge

In hindsight, that one, very definitely yes no problem. The main track was bone dry rocky gravel forestry roads, with some narrower bumpier connecting bits. This is not usually the case; rain & mud & steep hills, single track & paddocks are more usual, even on the main loop.

You could always phone the course setter leading up to the event. These things are designed somewhat as family days, so you should get an adv bike around the same stuff a young kid would.

Besides, the views on Sun were fantastic! The snow on the mountains, the sea, the Waiiti alley & Belgrove... made a nice adv day anyway.
    Cheers,
    Colin

I went over to COllingwood with a couple of KTM retard friends & really put Gonzo into overdrive trying to keep up. (They were nice & waited).

I have never seen so many bikes on the road & 95% of them waved back - even cruisers

I have to say that it is worth a trip over there for the excellent coffee & unbelievably scrummy chocolate macaroon biscuit (they were even gluten free but that didn't put me off) at the cafe.

Heaps of MXers on the back of utes in Richmond. Did the trailride go well? Anyone else get out?
Has your bike got a green and silver tank ,if so I saw you go passed while I was having a lovely day [oh ya] at work in the workshop at Riwaka Garage, it is interesting watching all the bikes fang passed then returning later with some very impressive wheel stands from the corner down passed the garage and pub, though lucky nobody pulls out of the pisser or a wolliper doesnt come around the corner at the end of the straight, puts a bit of spice into the day for us.

We met up with Topo/Mrs Topo on the new(ish) KTM and Jatz/Mrs Jatz on the (not)new DR750 in Mapua and we were off.
First photo op was at the end of Apple Valley ready to head onto Old Coach Road...

Heading on to Old Coach Road and we were following an RX7 rally car which headed off in the direction we wanted to go at quite a high speed. We waited a bit to let it get ahead and reduce the dust.

We only did half of Old Coach Road and headed down Harley Road to the Highway and on to Rosedale and Orinoco where we saw a Moa on the hill...

Then it was off up Jacobs Ladder and over to Thorpe...

There were some discussions as to how we could hook up the free bbq to a bike but with great regret we had to leave it behind.

Off down the Dovedale highway and over the Dove Hill (Topo just had to drop his pillion off at the summit and go back for a solo run) to Wakefield for a pizza dinner and watching the local nightlife through the window

Then back to the bikes and off to our Mot, Mapua and Nelson homes...

A good ride but a bit of hard work in the looser gravel with the front wandering around with proportionally less weight on it than usual (how's that for diplomatic)
