    Muffler repacking?

    got my bike going again thinking the muffler could do with repacking as it looks pretty oily whats best to use would pink bats be fine or should I got to a bike shop and buy some ? and how much does it cost?

    I've used pink bats but at times I've melted it. I now use MUFFLER PACKING S GLASS FIBRE MAT at about $30.00 a pack. Depending on the year of your EXC you might need a pack and a bit due to the length of the muffler, I know I do.


    Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

    I was going to try Kawool as its good for 2000 degrees and cheaper than a muffler repack kit

    Got a pack from Spectrum Motocycles for $20... Looks like Glass fibre mat but doesnt seem to prick like it!

    Bloody hell, wish I'd known this before, I just ordered a KTM repack kit and it's substantially more than $30.....maybe they will forget to call me when it comes in?

    I assume this stuff is available at most bike shops?

    thanks its a 2000 with the giant hockystick so I may need more than one I'll get one then see how i go

    no hurry now as I broke my finger riding up and down the drive last nite and can't bloody ride

    Crisis management every thing from ktm seems to be overpriced they tryed to up the price of my headgasket from $13 to $45

    cant see how a $500 exaust for a fourstroke would work well on my 200 twostroke
    there doesnt seem to be a listing on your site for packing

    did buy an hour metre off you a couple of weeks ago though good little gadget and great servce
    pls quit all the spammy crap
    andhow about haveing some stuff for two strokes there not all gone yet!!!!
