Did it ever occur to you to have 2 batteries with one on charge while the other is being used?
Yep, that'd be fun while your out on a 6 hour ride eh ...

Where can you charge it up out in the wop's? no way from your car or ute ...

Youll need a 230v supply (rectified to DC) providing enough current to charge those puppies up.

A spare supply of batteries would come in handy ....looking at 120ah lithium ion battery possibly at about +1000$ each. Maybe buy six? ummmm yep

Those batteries are even more un-enviromentally fiendly than petroleum. You just cant toss em when there poked. Highly toxic They have be disposed of safely ... more cost ,,... and they dont last forever, especially in high current demand applications.

Maybe for mx use they would be fine, 3 batteries for 3 motos possibly. Estimated life span of a battery ridden four times a month till discharge then charged again (based on current technology) ~ 1 year until charge retention issues arise.

I still think theyr'e gay though. Must have a bit of a 'biker' mentaility ...

Mind you im a bathing ape and still smoke ciggarettes (when im in the shed so my missus doesn't see me).

Don't get me wrong I think they are gay too but they are the future, and bi the time we've caught up and accepted it, we'll be so sucked dry with PC we'll be pasty white geldings following the sheep.

The manufacturers are leading us to believe LiPo batteries are green batteries. LiPos are claimed not to have a memory issue.

A Pro MotoX Team would spend far more than six grand for batteries in their pits.

The batteries would probably be rated for around 300 deep cycles? That's easily over 1 years worth of riding for the average weekend warrior.

A portable generator supplies 10amps does it not? The chargers for these machines would be designed to feed off a standard domestic single phase power supply.

You can still smoke your logs and shave your chest on this technology too and less likely to accidentally self combust doing it!

But the main thing is you'll be able to ride dirt within the city limits! Because the biggest issue with why our kind neighbourly folk are driving us away is the noise factor! This means less driving time to get to your fav track. Less mileage on your petrol driven wagon. Longer time spent at your fav hole. More spectators to watch you ride air etc etc

This has got to be good for the sport.

If you have doubts check this link out and look at some of the videos in the forest.
This is only a electric BMX but it moves ghostly quick. Imagine a huuge step up from 4HP to 35HP
This is not a gay looking bike, it looks pretty staunch.

The silent, smooth power delivery and high torque of an electric motor is something that has to be seen or felt to be appreciated.

Running costs hover around 0.5 cents/kilometer and at the same time the drive system requires next to no maintenance for up to 1500 charges.

Put simply this means that you can reach speeds of up to 70-80km/h (without pedaling) and power up some of the steepest hills with little or no effort and in complete silence..... and you never have to get your hands dirty trying to fix it.

Terrific, the roar of generators around the pits .. and silent bikes on the tracks.

    Progress

Mmmm completely linear power delivery. Perfect powerslides every time. You could have the throttle setup for controlling torque, power or RPM. You could even install a horizontal pozition sensor that could balance the front end in the air for hours.
Yeah! a mono' button... bring it on...
