Guys, what sort of fuel range is required? I only have 11 litres in the tank till bone dry, will that be enough. Guess fill up at Coro. should see me right.
Cheers.
Fishing gear is packed...fresh snapper for tea...
Yes that will be enough as its only about 60k from Coro township to Fletchers Bay. I will also be taking spare fuel up in the ute just in case.
At this stage i'm thinking a 9:30 meet in Kapu for 10 sharp leaving, sound ok?
Also for those who wish I figure $15 for BBQ inc B & eggs for breaky, and (taken from TonyW) $2 for first two beers & $1 after that.
Feel free to comment.......
Going away, busy?

Wanna stay in Kawhia? Have I got the bach for youPM me for details
Fuel not an issue then and I'm in for the BBQ and booze, although I do want to try all my new microscopic cooking equipment etc....first time out. The Bourban will be carried in what was going to be my spare fuel bottle, guess if I don't drink it all I can tip in the tank....
Coke (liquid kind) is more of an issue, guess I will just have to drink 50/50 mix.
This will be my first real outing with new bike, bags etc so will be interesting to see how things develop. Fishing gear is already sorted.
Look forward to it.
Cheers.
Aww this looks like so much fun and I just bought a tent. Problem is I got road bike and terribly allergic to gravel or any foreign substance on the road. Is there anyone meeting up at the site thats not doing cross country I can tag along with? Perhaps open up a diff route for nana dorks like me?

I don't think the road north is too hard core so your bike may do it easy...graded gravel roads. There are those of us that will be faffing around at the back of the pack so speed won't be an issue...
Bit hard to get to Cape Colville without going on gravel, thats the only way up there, the roads are easy riding tho, so as long as you take your time you won't have a problem. Treat it as character building.....
Cary, I might come down for the day (saturday) so will join whatever group is leaving Auckland probably, maybe, we'll see etc.....
ok cool....like get off and push speeds at the back right lol
gravellllllllllllll yucky yuck lol
